La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Walton Beach

Our stay was comfortable.beds were clean,front staff is nice and attentive and breakfast is decent.The hotel smells fresh and clean but unfortunately we had to check out within two days as we had a death in the family but they were very understanding and agreed to give us a refund for the days we will not be there which is still pending due to the weekend but that was a relief.Definitely recommend this hotel.

The room stank immediately after we checked in. The staff tried deodorizing the room by stuffing coffee pods in AC unit and having the room freezing cold. It was moldy spots on furniture including mattresses. Next morning one of our kids woke up to a bed bug crawling on them. Immediately went to front desk where she was insinuating that we brought it with us and normally if we wouldn’t have booked through a third party that their policy was to have us leave the building. Since we did go through a third party and had no extra money for another hotel the staff told us they’d move us to a new room once one became available next morning which turned out they moved us to a room 3 doors down from where we originally were and after that happened it was all attitude with us til we left. This hotel is gross they don’t even seem like they vacuum the floors. If you have allergies do not go here. If you don’t want bed bugs don’t go here. The last time we will be booking a hotel.

I enjoyed my stay , the only thing I wasn’t happy with was there were kids running the halls throughout the entire day

Nice Location, near church, family house and Beach.

In the very beginning, I was super nervous and did not know what to expect. As a woman traveling alone with children, I’m always on EDGE!! After speaking with the front desk agent, he assured me that everything was going to be OK, and that I was in the right place. He said we are here for you, and you can feel safe here. After hearing him say that, I knew that he meant it I was able to let my guard down and enjoy my stay at the facility. My children and I will most definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

The staff was very caring and helpful, 5 stars to them. Breakfast was the same every morning, should mix it up a bit? I am guessing that the room 102 was just remodeled. They should of included a new couch. No cushion was left, almost nil. A light fixture used for a old bath room bar light located on the exterior bathroom wall. ?? The room itself was advertised as a suite? The room was very small for a suite. In the middle of the night a bit was sprayed from the AC unit. Some kid of deodorant, strange? The room was close to a street and did not hear anything from the outside at all. Great insulated windows. The AC unit needed to be worked on. Cooling issues with it.

Clean, quiet hotel. Staff was very friendly and professional. My family enjoyed the stay.

Hotel is conveniently located close to entertainment and restaurants in Destin, Florida. We went here on a family vacation and would stay here again. The hotel was comfortable, the breakfast was good with plenty of choices, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. We chose to stay here b/c the price was pretty decent and the other reviews were good.

Very nice hotel. Staff was very accommodating to my family and was always courteous and smiling. Would certainly recommend staying here and we plan to have another getaway here next month. Dogs are allowed here and were no problem at all! Dog lovers that travel frequent this hotel.

I have done a lot of traveling across the US. I've stayed in many hotels. We bounce back and forth between La Quintas, Holiday Inns and Airbnbs. La Quintas are typically pretty nice, clean and comfortable. But this one made us want to puke. Unfortunately, we had our two children with us as well. My toddler at 2.5 years old fell on the floor and upon rising was covered in a black soot that covered his legs, arms and feet. Mind you, this is IN the room. I never expect to give a hotel room the "white glove" test. But to see that the floor of our room had not been cleaned for what could be the entire year of 2024 is absolutely disgusting. We had been displaced by the hurricane, if there is ever another. I will take my chances at home before I stay here again.
