Hyatt Place Boca Raton/Downtown

Our stay at this hotel was not as expected. Since this is a Hyatt hotel our expectations were a lot higher. The room was small, and the bed was really uncomfortable. Our view out the window was of the city but before we even could look at it, we had to try and overlook a black dirty roof. My mother got back pain from laying on that uncomfortable bed, so we had to cut our stay short. The carpet didn't look very clean and there was a big stain on the couch, and it looked like a child scribbled on one of the walls. The bathroom sink would leak from the behind the faucet and the top of the vanity would get wet constantly. The towels were like sandpaper and of horrible quality, as were the toiletries. Speaking of which we had to ask for more because we were only provided with a small amount. Even the toilet paper was horrible!! When we tried to use the pool, it had been raining for the past few days and the water from the pool was overflowing from it. Mangement should have done something to request maintenance at the pool to reduce the water. Breakfast was okay but there wasn't very much of a variety. It was pretty much the same thing every morning. Main dish was scrambled eggs. It would have been nice if they changed it up some days with having omelets on one day and Quiche or fried eggs on another day. The staff was okay, but they weren't that friendly. They should be more welcoming and more accommodating towards their guests.

The property was perfect for a family of 5 including 3 teenagers. Located within very close walking distance to dozens of restaurants, shopping, and more. Excellent complimentary breakfasts and a top shelf bartender mixing best the Old Fashion drinks. The staff were fun and happy and the elevators were fast. Overall a great experience.

My stay was awesome i jus need a little time to away from all the hustling I Will stay there again yes i will i will bring my family wuth me I didnr get rhe chancw to walk outside and do anyrhing i jus stayed in and relax but i will on my next trip there which wull ne pretty soon

Only have positive things to write. Really great new hotel. Room size good for family of four, thanks to nice L-shaped sitting area. Staff super helpful. Breakfast definite step above usual complimentary ones making a great overall value for this higher quality hotel.

We typically book direct for our hotels. This time the rate was different through hotels.com so we booked here. Hotel was great location for our trip. The first evening we were startled by the fire alarm at 2am. Left the buliding returned to our room with kids about 2:35am. Just about to sleep....alarm went off again at about 3am. Left the building. The attached restaruant was the potential culprit. We were staying with other couples in the building and upon checkout that morning were granted a comped night for the trouble. We were staying longer and when we inquired where told to talk to manager A, B and C. No resolve, no apology, actually quite rude. We've stayed at this property before but after this experience we will go back to the Boca Beach Club. Unfortuanat turn of events and all we were hoping for was an apology or explanation.
