Excellent property at Saybrook Point. The staff were all kind and helpful, and the facilities were high quality. The restaurant, Fresh Salt, was excellent for breakfast with a nice variety of options (we did not eat other meals there). There was not a whole lot directly around the hotel, but a little miniature golf place was just across the parking lot. Otherwise, it is basically a nice hotel at the marina. We stayed there while visiting family in Madison, about 15 miles west, and the town of Old Saybrook had enough amenities to support our needs while there. Small enough to be charming, yet enough support to meet a variety of needs. (The town does have the smallest Walmart I have ever seen.)

Me and my wife having been coming here for about 12 years and have never had a bad experience. From the staff and its beautiful views from the water side of the hotel down to the excellent restaurant Fresh Salt that always delivers. Whether it was winter or a summer stay it never disappoints. The Spa is top notch with its many choices and the indoor pool is always clean and enjoyable. The recently added Choo Choo lounge is a nice add on to the facility for a quick bite or a beverage to share if you have a hour to relax and catch part of a game. The outside amenities during summer time have grown and continue to accommodate without interruption in service. My only recommendation for this very well run Inn would be to upgrade their TVs and rooms to Smart TVs and have USB connections around the room especially next to the bed. If your stuck in the room for a bit during winter at night, it would have been nice to watch a Netflix movie while drinking some coffee by the fire. But I think in time that will come as it has to most upper tier quality Inns. Would highly recommend this as a nice getaway for a couple or family for the weekend if its in your price range. Five out of five stars.

There are no words to say how amazing this property is. Like stepping back to the past where the customer service, quality of the linens and rooms and absolute attention to detail not only still exist but thrive at this place. The onsite restaurant was a 15 out of 10, and again service above and beyond so many places in this day and age. I am truly grateful and appreciative of the attention to the customers and details that are clearly their mission and it shows. They make you feel so welcome and like a family member. Incredible, we will be back.

Absolutely wonderful rooms with balconies and gorgeous views. Fireplaces with service for logs and firestarting. Great games available for the whole family. Two pools, including an heated outdoor pool that is not to be missed, as well as an excellent jacuzzi. Best of all, it's situated in a fascinating historic area, a nice two mile walk from downtown old Saybrook.

First tte room was gorgeous, well decorated and very spacious. It was like a large studio apartment. Working fireplace, comfortable beds and very spacious bathroom w sit down vanity. The staff was so kind, Choo Choo lounge was great spot to relax. The heated outdoor and indoor pool overlooking the water was a hit with the whole family. Great area for a morning walk. We could not have enjoyed our stay more except skip breakfast, room service for breakfast was terrible raw French toast and chewy pancakes for 74.00.

The room was very spacious, with a nice fire place. Very quiet also. Nice views, directly on the marina. But I have to say that the beds are sloping, and the pillows are so unconfortable (too firm) that the entire family slept without any.

I absolutely love this resort, with or without kids. With kids, the indoor and outdoor pool is amazing as is the mini golf nearby. Without kids, there are amazing waterfront bars to grab a snack or cocktail. Close to Mystic which was an added bonus. Haven't tried the boat cruises but plan on next time! For breakfast I recommend Mirsina's in town.
