Water's Edge Resort & Spa

This was my second time visiting here. First time was year before. That time was great, hence me wanting to come for back for my Birthday. Big Mistake!! 1st. It was a little noisy because it was winter break, so their were quite a few kids around. My cousin, and I got in a little late, so we both were tired. She fell asleep quick. Not long after that I fell asleep. Then I could hear the heater/ac unit making a loud motor noise. It kept me up most of the night. The next morning, also the toilet stopped flushing. My cousin is Ms. Fix it, so she jiggled the handle, or something and fixed it. I mention it to the front desk. Their attitude was not what I was expecting. First she said, why didn't you call about it last night? I said no, because having someone come that night would have woken up my cousin in the next bed. Then she said well because you booked through Expedia so you already got a discount. Then she said all I can do for you is give you a voucher for a beverage, or something for that same equivalent. I was offended, and I said I wasn't looking for a free beverage. Can I get the heating fixed. She said, yes I'll have someone come. Now the maintenance person was extremely professional, and polite.He said that the unit is only a few months old, and It's supposed make noise Periodically. If Your Hotel are going to have rooms that can be booked through Expedia, then the treatment of People should be the same, as if they booked it straight to the hotel.I DON'T RECOMMEN!

The location of this property is great and it is a large property on a small beach. Exterior looks great but the interior of the room we stayed, junior suite left a lot to be desired. Outdated and very basic. Kind of like lodge accommodations. Bathtub/shower was very quirky to use and outdated. Now I can’t vouch for the condition of other higher priced rooms but this was ours. Nice bar area and restaurant area. Food was average. Indoor swimming pool and exercise area were nice. Staff very friendly. Overall nice stay but a bit overpriced for the rooms in comparison to their condition. Especially since we were off season

Stayed in a junior suite, which was roomy and comfortable. Lots of windows. Had breakfast at the Bistro in the main building, and would NOT recommend the food.

I have been a regular at Waters Edge and Spa for over a decade. I always book the ocean view Villa for gathering with family and friends. It is quite an impressive set up. And everyone always has an amazing time. Whether they are walking on the beach, playing board games in front of the fireplace, checking out the nearby outlets, or just sitting on the patio watching the sunrise. I’ll see you all soon!

Was able to check into our room at 11:30 am which was a huge bonus with three small kids. Staff is accommodating and everything is clean and well maintained. Love the beach access, pool, and especially eating outside to live music. My kids love coming here and so do we!

A great place to go with or with out children

Our stay was a much-needed respite for my family and the place delivered on every level.

The room faces the parking lot and you cannot block the lights from coming into the room. The walls are extremely thin. I am not in the main building and neither Expedia nor the hotel could fix this. There is no elevator in this building. The heat is extremely loud. It is a junior suite but there is NOTHING in the kitchen: no towels, silverware, glasses, nothing. The TVs are tiny and ancient. Overall, not worth the price and didn't work well with Expedia.

We had a great stay overall! Pros: Beds were comfortable and room was spacious and came with a good-sized fridge. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the spa was amazing. Cons: Radiator was a little loud at certain times in the early morning. The water pressure was good but the shower could use an upgrade, as well as the pool and jacuzzi. We were looking for a relaxing dip but with any kids in there, it’s really loud. The restaurant service while we were there was really slow (in part due to a wedding happening) but pretty expensive too.

We love staying here over holidays whenever a family visit is requires. A great place to come “home” to. Take a swim, grab a bite to eat and relax. The staff is top notch. Customer service is alive and well at the Waters Edge. Gorgeous decorations during the holidays.
