Quality Inn Grand Junction near University

Nice, clean property. Older building, but room was quite clean and adequately maintained. Exercise room had TV, treadmill, cycle and a dozen pairs of new dumbells, with lots of clean towles. Hot buffet breakfast was a hit with our 3 teen children.

I do probably a lot more overnight traveling than the average American and this may the best that I can recall ever staying in. Mind you, I always look for the best value, (cheapest price but no flea bag hotels). The room was great. The linens and towels were fresh. Everything was in great repair, not run down, nor even moderately worn. The mattress was firm, and the pillows were simply amazing, so good in fact that I took a picture of the tag so I could look them up and buy some for my own bed. Now for the cherry on top. The free breakfast buffet was amazing! They had all of the usual selections, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, french toast, etc, etc. This was much like an actual breakfast buffet at a restaurant. Not a small single banquet table with the food and 4 or 5 tables for guests to eat at. There were probaby 15 or so nice, wood restaurant quality tables with beautiful wooden chairs and the buffet probably occupied 5 or 6 banquet tables. There were also dedicated attendants continuously looking after the buffet to ensure that everything was very fresh, well stocked, and clean. I've literally never seen anything like it at a free hotel breakfast. By now, your probably wondering why only 4 stars. The reason, they do NOT accept payment in U.S. legal tender currency. I prefer to use cash wherever and whenever possible and inmy opinion, it is absolutely unacceptable for any business on U.S. soil to refuse the U.S. dollar as payment.

The staff was amazing! They were very accommodating. The breakfast had fresh food and lots of options for my picky family so everyone had a good meal. Our room was very clean. I have nothing at all to complain about. Would stay here again. Highly recommend.

we. were placed in a room by the elevator and it was a bit noisy and we had children running up and down and jiggling the door. We arrived a little early and asked if could check in early, we wanted to unload our bags and put some things in the refrigerator. we were told in no uncertain terms that would not be able to check in early..As we have been staying there frequently, we were a little taken back by by the absolute NO. Usually they check and see if room is ready, and if not they always try to work with you. maybe come back or check back later.. we felt pretty uncomfortable and wished we had stayed somewhere more friendly. we left early the next morning and had breakfast on the road. Sorry all our good experiences were not repeated. will have to think about coming back again as we have several upcoming events coming up now through the summer.

Just a place to sleep as we were on a family road trip. Kiddo loved the pool which was the goal. Bed was comfortable, room was clean just a little outdated but for the price it was perfect.

This property was pretty for what our family needed after a long drive. The pool was refreshing. And there was even a buffet breakfast.

Hotel located next to the freeway. Old building but kept clean. Good breakfast and nice pool for kids.

Rented the room for visiting family. The hotels on Horizon are fairly old but my family said it had been updated nicely and they loved it and want to stay again. Got my vote.

We came to town from a rural area several hours away to do school supply shopping. The room was decently clean, but very small; two double beds pretty much filled it. We'd requested a rollaway bed because two 6'+ teenaged boys don't easily share a double bed, but when we actually got to the room we found that there wasn't really room to set it up! We ended up having to do some major furniture rearrangement that included putting the table/desk into the bathroom to be able to use the rollaway bed without blocking the room door. Long story short - if your stay will include a rollaway bed, be prepared =) Otherwise the breakfast was decent, the staff was delightful, and the kids enjoyed the pool!

Close to hospitals and clean and quiet rooms and hotel. Complimentary breakfast was good with various options to choose from for everyone in the family.
