Clarion Inn Grand Junction

This is the place to stay if you travel with dogs. It's pretty good for kids too. Two pools including an indoor pool.

This place was a hidden gem! Had an indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as an outdoor pool and jacuzzi..It had pool tables, a few arcade games for kids and a gym. Full, yummy breakfast. Highly recommend for the money!

The Clarion Inn provided me with a restful and relaxing stay. The employees were friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was much more than I had expected. They had something for everyone. They kept all of their options stocked until the end of the breakfast period. They replenished a major cooked entrée 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast period. The exercise room had a decent amount of equipment. I didn't take advantage of it because I was recovering from 3 days of rafting and camping on the Colorado River with grandkids. They were gently pushing the Clarion rewards program when I signed in. I didn’t sign up. Next time I will.

Dirty outdoor pool. Bandaid and a lot dirt. My kids got out after wearing goggles. Inside pool was cleaner. Breakfast was great. Rooms clean.

Me and my family had a wonderful time. Pool and hot tub's were great, breakfast was delicious, rooms were in great condition.

Perfect for families

Great for kids. The pool was fun. Convenient location. Good breakfast.

Staff was very kind and helpful, and the facilities and rooms were very clean. There did not seem to be any overseeing of the pool/hot tub and the first night we were there it was overrun by unsupervised kids, yelling and being unsafe for the evening hours. At one point there were more than 10 squeezed into the hot tub, and kids in life jackets jumping in and out between hot tub and the pool. Luckily the other nights were better and we were able to enjoy these amenities (the reason we picked this hotel was the access to pool and hot tub). Beds were terribly uncomfortable, by far the most uncomfortable mattresses I have come across in hotel stays. I don't think they were old, just cheap. Our room did not have a window, which I didn't realize was even a possibility until we had already checked in and I didn't want to bother the very nice ladies at the counter. Our door opened up to the hallway, and then we had a sliding door that opened up to another inner hallway overlooking the common area. There was no way to get any natural light in whatsoever without anyone walking by being able to see entirely into our room, and no way to get fresh air. Lastly, the heating/cooling system was extremely loud, even turned at the lowest setting. When we tried to just switch it to "off" it sounded like a toilet running, which was even worse, so we left it on low during our stay. Location was great, parking was easy. Breakfast was good each morning and all of the staff was very friendly.

My kids love this place

Great location for trips for families with kids and teens. But that does also bring the normal issues with places that have a lot of kids staying there. Great stay overall.
