Clarion Inn Grand Junction

The Clarion Inn provided me with a restful and relaxing stay. The employees were friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was much more than I had expected. They had something for everyone. They kept all of their options stocked until the end of the breakfast period. They replenished a major cooked entrée 10 minutes before the end of the breakfast period. The exercise room had a decent amount of equipment. I didn't take advantage of it because I was recovering from 3 days of rafting and camping on the Colorado River with grandkids. They were gently pushing the Clarion rewards program when I signed in. I didn’t sign up. Next time I will.

Perfect for families

Great for kids. The pool was fun. Convenient location. Good breakfast.

Staff was very kind and helpful, and the facilities and rooms were very clean. There did not seem to be any overseeing of the pool/hot tub and the first night we were there it was overrun by unsupervised kids, yelling and being unsafe for the evening hours. At one point there were more than 10 squeezed into the hot tub, and kids in life jackets jumping in and out between hot tub and the pool. Luckily the other nights were better and we were able to enjoy these amenities (the reason we picked this hotel was the access to pool and hot tub). Beds were terribly uncomfortable, by far the most uncomfortable mattresses I have come across in hotel stays. I don't think they were old, just cheap. Our room did not have a window, which I didn't realize was even a possibility until we had already checked in and I didn't want to bother the very nice ladies at the counter. Our door opened up to the hallway, and then we had a sliding door that opened up to another inner hallway overlooking the common area. There was no way to get any natural light in whatsoever without anyone walking by being able to see entirely into our room, and no way to get fresh air. Lastly, the heating/cooling system was extremely loud, even turned at the lowest setting. When we tried to just switch it to "off" it sounded like a toilet running, which was even worse, so we left it on low during our stay. Location was great, parking was easy. Breakfast was good each morning and all of the staff was very friendly.

My kids love this place

Great location for trips for families with kids and teens. But that does also bring the normal issues with places that have a lot of kids staying there. Great stay overall.

Great location with easy check in. Family friendly (lots of kids in the pool) property and pet friendly but unfortunately many of the pet owners are negligent cleaning up after their dogs - disgusting

The room was nice, hotel was clean. There was little time for us to use the pool but it was really full with lots of kids so unfortunately we didn’t experience that amenity. The breakfast was very good! 2 complaints: 1. We had to enter at door H around the back of the building- but the closest luggage rack was all the way at the front desk- we entered at H but I had to walk through the entire hotel to the front desk area to get a luggage rack- then unload our bags and take it back again. As spread out as the hotel is- there should be luggage racks at the far entrances! Very inconvenient after a long day traveling. 2. The beds were so hard!!! Very poor nights sleep! Extremely uncomfortable!

The beds were terrible!! Everything else was fantastic, breakfast was yummy and perfect for our family!

Nice clean room at the right price. Checkin was easy. A retro family hotel which we enjoyed.
