Hampton Inn Denver-International Airport

When we arrived, even though we had a confirmed reservation which I booked months earlier, they didn’t have the room type I booked available and instead gave us a room with a king bed and single roll away bed for our family of 4. This meant that I had to sleep with one of my children who tend to kick and throw their hands during the night, resulting in very little sleep. We were told by the check in staff we would be credited for the difference in the cost of the rooms, but when I went to the desk to confirm this before check-out the next morning, I was told this was not possible because Expedia had overbooked them. It was late evening when we arrived due to a late flight, which is the ONLY reason we didn’t have it in us to find another hotel with better accommodations for our family with 2 small children. I would not rebook (or recommend to friends who regularly travel to Denver) if this is the service the hotel provides. As an Honor rewards member I am highly disappointed by this.

I was assigned a room with adjoining doors to the next room. The room next door was assigned to a family with 2 children that I could hear them loudly and clearly through the doors. I had to call the front desk when their noise became unbearable. The room and the bathroom were clean, but the sink did not drain fast enough that made water rise to almost half the depth of the sink when faucet was on. I had to wait for the water to drain before I could proceed with what I was doing. In my opinion, the bed was not made correctly. The bedsheet was not tucked in properly making the corner I slept in come out all the time. The wall control switch of the window blind was not working. I had to repeatedly play with it until I was able to finally raise it, but I had to pull the blind down for the night. Very frustrating! I scheduled an airport shuttle drop off for 12 noon. I came down at 11:10am, checked out and fortunately the driver was flexible enough to take me to the airport before my scheduled time.

Hotel was good. Clean, comfortable, courteous staff. Walls were a little thin so I could hear the family of four next door. There is a diner right next door so that was super convenient. There is a desk with casters so you can wheel it around to eat and watch television. The only thing that needs a little improvement is the airport shuttle pick up. I think you have to request it unlike other hotels where their shuttles are on a loop. I ended up hitching a ride with a different hotel shuttle. The outbound airport shuttle was easy.

My family and I live outside the States, and our cell phones were not working properly,so we had problems with many of the functions we wanted.

Got stuck in Vail and Denver and the Hampton Inn staff was extremely helpful in accommodating shuttles and dinner recommendations. The pool was great for letting the kids get out some energy. Diner next door was so convenient and easy for dinner. Great location and staff - highly recommend.

My only complaint is when we decided on our shuttle time to the airport they told us they’d have box lunches for us in the morning. When we got down there there was only one left and we are a family of 4.

It was convenient for the free airport shuttle, free breakfast, and being pet friendly. It wasn’t new and renovated, it felt like an old building, but clean enough to make it worth the more affordable price for a traveling family.

It was a good place for a stay before flying out. The pool was great for the kids. The shuttle to the airport was perfect.

There was a horrible smell by elevators like baby poop. Refrigerator made loud noise most of the night. Great staff and shuttle.
