Holiday Inn Express West Sacramento, an IHG Hotel

The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the included breakfast had a good variety. It took a while to get hot water in the shower for the first person. And then for the couple showers after that there was a loud squeaky noise for a couple minutes at the beginning that I'm sure neighboring rooms were annoyed by too. So definitely could use some updating to the bathroom, adding a fan and fixing the plumbing. We had a family of 4 on reservation so 4 towels would have been nice too. Also with the location being close to a busy road/freeway some sound proofing on windows would be a good to have as well.

This property was very close to where I was having meetings and looked very clean and safe. There were other options, but coming from out of town, I knew I would be able to trust the Holiday Inn name. It did not disappoint. The staff were great, filling the hot water for me at night to make tea when they could have said ti was only for breakfast, giving me a proof of stay to turn in with all my receipts even though it was booked through a third party stay. Everything was clean and well stocked. The breakfast options were great. Everything was fresh. There was even an option to make fresh pancakes. The only thing I would say is that it's kind of sandwiched between industrial businesses, but the noise wasn't an issue and stopped at the end of business for those places. Obviously not a hotel issue, just so people know what they'll be near. Honestly, great stay. When I was facetiming my kids, they kept saying how nice my room was. :) I was able to find nice places to eat that were literally minutes away. I would stay here again, I'd bring my family here. :)

Nothing ! Everything was not what they said it would be! They gave us a 1 bed room when we reserved a 2bed. ( My husband, myself and kids) They gave us a 2 bed room that was not clean. The beds were a mess and slept in. The furniture looked like it had been chewed up by a dog. When we asked for a clean room they said that's all they had and so we asked them to put clean sheets on our beds. After about 45min ( by this time it's after 10 pm with tired kids from traveling all day)they handed us sheets and told us we had to be the maids and take off the dirty sheets and put on the clean ones. We paid $200 for a piece of crap room aaand had to be the maids! They refused to give us a discount. Then they promised a nice hot breakfast with omelets, sausage and bacon. Nope! It was cereal and after about an hour of waiting they brought out a small pan of scrambled eggs. Their service was absolutely horrible! Would not recommend anyone to stay there! It's also in a really sketchy location.

I booked this room because it said there was an outdoor pool. Its summertime & hot in Sacramento & I have to small kiddos...there was no outdoor pool, just a spa tub that was like 100 degrees. Not refreshing at all.

Nice hotel me and the family really enjoyed our stay i will come back for our next stay
