Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center

My family and I checked in except for me I had to. Wait over 1hr for a room I asked the front desk to call me when the room was available which she never did I had to come to the front desk periodically to see if room was available This was not acceptable

showed up at 10 pm with my 70 year old disabled mother with a reservation for one of their accessible rooms. The shower is literally covered in clumps of someone else’s hair and there is an old water bottle just sitting there. It’s a room with two beds but there is only one towel. I don’t believe this room was ever cleaned after the last guest used it. This is one of the grossest hotel experiences I’ve ever had and I’m embarrassed I brought my family here. The front desk concierge was kind enough to submit a report and comp our breakfast and parking but that is not enough. It is too late at night to make my disabled mother move but I am seriously creeped out sleeping in what I believe are dirty bedsheets. I will be talking to management before checking out tomorrow morning.

I only stayed for one day but I really enjoyed my stay there. The rooms were nice and the staff was very attentive. I had breakfast with my two children and they very much enjoyed breakfast. They had a variety of fruits, cereals, waffles, juice etc. The staff present was very kind and professional, always asking if we needed anything. The breakfast area was very clean and it looked like it was pet friendly. A special lady named Gloria was super kind and I enjoyed her hospitality. I can’t thank her and all the staff enough that made me and my family feel very welcomed.

After checking in me and my family left for the day. We got back to the hotel around 10pm. I went to walk the dog. My wife calls me saying someone was outside the hotel room door. They were asking her to mive rooms and asking if her husband left. They did not have any uniform to indicate they worked at the hotel. I immediately came back and the person was outside my room. Just waiting. He stated that someone pretending to be me asked for us to change rooms and that they put that person in another room, but under my name. I went to the front desk and they told me this guy was an employee and yes they switched my room brvause someone else requested it and they thought it was me. The person at the front i talked to walked away saying she needed to check the new room. The employee that was at ny door and another front desk staff stayed with me saying someone may have possibly been in my room while i was gone and that they gave them a new room. I called my wife to tell her and to have her check if anything was missing. When the staff member came back she said it was a misunderstanding and that she got the wrong room and everything was fine. When i complained about this not being professional and that i was still unsure what had happened they gave me coupons for breakfast and sent ne away. I still don't really know what happened. I had to stay up all night with my young children because they were scared. This made the trip and long drive home hard as we were exhausted.

We were happy with the nice clean room until we went to take a shower at night. There was no shower gel in the eco-friendly bottle. It was empty. I couldn’t call for more shower gel since I’m in the middle of taking a shower. We checked in the hotel as a family of 4, two adults and two children. We were provided with 2 towels to shower with. Lastly, the roll of toilet paper was almost done but there was not an extra roll for replacement. When we checked out, the customer representative asked how was our stay, I said “ok.” He then replied “ so just ok but not great huh?” That was the end. He didn’t seem to care why it wasn’t great. I was happy with the hotel but was disappointed with the service. Guests shouldn’t have to request for the basic necessities like soap, towels and toilet paper, especially at a highly rated hotel like the Marriott.

We came to Visalia to visit family and the Marriott hotel was recommended to us by family. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and modern. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The floor in the room was filthy ! I had my baby crawling in the floor and when I picked him up his hand and feet were so dirty. I grabbed a wet towel and mopped the floor how I could and the towel came out BLACK. The blinds as soo old, had a hard time closing the blinds.

. Hotel is close to family ! Great bartenders & restaurant was good! I will be staying with you all again!
