Holiday Inn Express & Suites Camarillo, an IHG Hotel

The bath drain plug didn't fit so kids couldn't take a bath. Shotty maintenance work. It's like maintenance just used caulk to fix everything.

It was exactly what we needed for our group stay for a family wedding. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. Rooms were clean and ready when we checked in a little early. The front desk staff was nice and gave us a complimentary new toothbrush since my son forgot to pack his.

The staff who check me in was unfriendly. It was 2:30 pm there was barely cars at the parking lot and she told me they're in full capacity so my room is not ready and ask me if i want a king instead. Told her no i reserve 2 queens i have 2 adults and 3 children. 20 minutes later she called and said the room is ready. She put me near the elevator and roof view i asked to be moved and she moved me downstairs to first floor room that was near the laundry room for housekeepers and cart full of dirty wet sheets by my door and hallway.

The room was lovely! Extra towels were brought to the room quickly. Coffee always in the lobby. The breakfast was great- we loved the egg omelets. The kids liked the pancake making machine!

A beautiful stay. Everyone was kind and courteous. What a beautiful staff and would definitely return and recommend to family & friends.

The staff was very kind the breakfast area was VERY CLEAN!!! The staff was amazing and never ran out of food even on Saturday morning it was the busiest and they had it full there was no waiting for anything. We had a nice stay and truly appreciated this location as it was very close to our friends and family I have to say all the DOVE products were a plus really enjoyed not dealing yet ha bar of stinky soap. Very pleasant experience One Thing I would like to recommend is not allow 18 wheelers to take up 5 parking spots on the property they should be parking on the street

Near shopping center and outlets,very clean and comfortable. Hot tub was great my kids really enjoyed it. Everything was excellent. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Cons: A male employee tried coming into my room (317) while i was indecent. I had put the door hanger on the outside of the door to let them know we dont need the room to be serviced, yet someone tried their key and the doorknob to come in. When my fiance stopped the male employee from opening the door, he noticed that the employee didn't even have a housekeeping cart. This was very suspicious because it was 9am and the employee who tried opening the door didn't have the authorization from us to come in, nor a housekeeping cart. There is a leak coming from the closet roof, and all maintenance and housekeeping did was put a trash can under it. Its okay for now, and it seems to be catching water. Just gotta be careful due to the staff saying the electrical is up there too. The fire alarm woke us up at 11pm. I grabbed my fiance and baby and ran out of the room. Once we stepped out and saw the other patrons exiting their rooms, the alarm stopped. We all went back to our rooms. Another fire alarm went off around 3am. Same thing, grabbed my fiance and baby and went out the door. Less people came out of their rooms. Then the alarm stopped. We all went back into the room once again. The last fire alarm woke us up at 9am. This time, my family was the only one out of our rooms. The alarm was a joke at this point. When asked about what happened during breakfast conversations with staff members, a technician said that it wasn't kids or a prank being pulled. It was a technical error.

Of all the places we have stayed this week in Cali, this one was by far the best. The kids loved the pool and hot tub, and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was also great, they had a great variety of items. Fresh pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, danish, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc etc. the beds were also the best we had all week. The room setup was great, lots of room for all our bags (we had a bunch of kids with us) and plugs on the nightstand next to the little lamps so we could conveniently charge our phones. The staff were very accommodating. We had a dog with us (she is non shedding and honestly much cleaner than our children haha) so we kind of snuck her in without paying the extra fee because it’s not justified in our situation) and no one said a word about it. We also really liked the installed pump bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Much better than the wasteful mini bottles you sometimes get. We will definitely be seeking out Holiday inn next time we travel.
