Radisson Hotel Santa Maria

We reserved a one bedroom suite with a balcony. The room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable but the room was also very tired looking. The couch and carpets were full of stains, the wall paper was peeling and there were cobwebs in the bathroom. We will still stay here again because the location to our family was very convenient and the price was fine.

I want to note up front that each and every staff member at this hotel was professional, courteous, attentive, and helpful above and beyond any standards that could be applied. This goes for the wait staff in the restaurant and bar, front desk, and maintenance staff we met in the elevators. In fact, if they had not been so accommodating, we would have left and gone to another hotel. The property itself is very shabby and dated. The cleaning staff did their best to clean (bathroom floors and fixtures were clean, dusting, linens). But the physical state of the building and rooms are really run down and dated. Pretty much everything is in bad need of work or updating (faucets and shower handles were loose and old, carpets worn and stained, curtains torn, debris stored outside the windows in view, on the roof). A family member's room next door had tiled flooring but every time she sat on the bed it slid out from under her. The room above had the same flooring, and I could hear literally everything they did. I felt like I was in the room with them. I would definitely recommend staying somewhere else. Maybe they will get their act together, but I doubt it will be any time soon.

Heater in room did not work. Water pressure in shower was a dribble. And we were put next to people who fought and had a crying baby all night so got very little sleep. Which is unfortunate because it could be a great little spot right next to the airport. But seems like the maintenance dept. Is a little lacking. Otherwise nice hotel.

This property is not clean. Under our bed someone had left a dirty underwear. The area where are room was located smelled bad. The gym was very limited. They had a sauna but it had a sign on door saying it was out of service. The gym was dirty puddle of water in the gym for 2 days no one clean it. Also, they have a restaurant in the hotel but it looks like only one person work in it. We went to try and order breakfast and no one came to greet us or help us. This place is cheap. If none of the things I mentioned matter then this might be the place for you as for me and my family is not.

This hotel is like a place that used to be really nice 20 years ago and nobody kept it up. We stayed this weekend for a family event. When we checked in I asked basic questions about the pool hours, restaurant, etc. The staff didn’t have many answers but gave me a paper stating the dining room and bar were closed lunch and dinner both days we were there. I made plans with others based on those amenities so that was a huge issue. Next, There were tons of rooms and very low occupancy but they put us right next to the VERY LOUD elevator. The room was in need of serious upgrades. For example, the wallpaper was peeling off in several areas, there were only 2 working plugs in the room (the rest were behind furniture or broken), the bathroom didn’t have a fan and only 2 outlets. Our party included 4 people so the lack of outlets was a huge problem for charging and getting ready in the morning. The hotel common areas need a refresh as well. The whole place smells musty like the carpet needs to be replaced. We ordered breakfast “to go” Sat morning and it tasted like premade, reheated food. Not something I would expect from a restaurant. We went to the pool Sat night at 9pm (it’s open until 10pm). It was heated and had a hot tub, but no bathrooms so my son had to go wet, all the way in the lobby to use the restroom. Overall, we will not stay here again unless renovations are done. It was comparable to a 2 star motel.

Service was good. Bed was comfortable and kids enjoyed watching the airplanes take off. Hotel could use an update. Loud construction work in the early morning.

My family and I stayed here on a whim and it was a great choice! We were driving the PCH and all of the hotels in nearby cities were either extremely expensive or not what we were wanting. This was great and very comfortable. The restaurant was very good for breakfast and fairly priced. If I ever find myself in Santa Maria again, I will stay here!

Have stayed several times over the years and the hotel is getting worse every time. There was a large stain on the comforter, looked like blood stains on the curtains, bathroom sink did not stop running and it looked like someone got angry and kicked apart the heating vent. The bathtub was shallow but it was put on a small pedal stool so it was an awkward step in and out. This is unfortunate because it’s a great location for us when we visit family.

In town for family reunion. Property off the busy grid and close to fwy and visited locations.
