Shashi Hotel Mountain View, an Urban Resort

Our stay was great until 7:30am when the room above us was literally moving furniture and constantly stomping. Sounded like kids jumping from bed to bed. Called the front desk 3 times before we just got up and ready to leave early as we couldn’t sleep. Unfortunate after a night out at a concert.

Was really excited to check out this hotel as my family frequents 5-star hotels on our travels. This is the only 5 star hotel I know of that offers no doormen/baggage service. Upon checking in we then found out this is an Eco-friendly hotel. Room was hot and staff said room can only go to 67 degrees. I had a thermometer and the actual room temp was 74 degrees. Lights minimal lighting in the room flickered, TV remotes barely functioned properly, requiring multiple attempts to do any function on the remote. Poor water pressure, and loud rooms. We could hear people talk outside our door, to the left and right rooms from us and every footstep above our room. Then the pool area, we step out and all of the furniture is vacant but towels and cups and plates are littered across all the loungers. Towel storage was empty. Not a pleasant experience. The only good experience was the friendly staff.

We stayed here with our two kids and it was great. Usually when you book using a discount site they give you the cheapest rooms, but that wasn’t the case. The amenities are nice too with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Complimentary water. We would definitely stay again

The first room given had a leaky ceiling and the bedding was soaked…the staff responded fast and gave me another room. But, the light switch automatically turned on during the night after everybody fell asleep, repeatedly once every a couple of hours, which was disturbing to say the least and creepy if you think about it. The switch is a remote control which makes me think that someone was trying to mess with me…and there’s no physical switch or power control in the room that I can cut off the power. I ended up staying awake nearly the whole night waiting for the lights to be turned on so that I could turn back off to allow my family to have at least some sleep. The hotel checks quite a few boxes in terms of location and others but literally this was the most unpleasant stay for my entire 10-day west coast trip from San Francisco to San Diego.

Where do I begin? From the moment my family arrived we were treated with smiles and hospitality. Hotel is AMAZING, restaurant AMAZING, staff EVEN BETTER. The rooms were cozy and quiet, my kids enjoyed the pool and the staff goes above and beyond for you. This will be on the only place I stay at for now when I visit the area. I wish I could give a 100 out of 10. And extra points to the young lady at the front, I forgot her name but she had piercings on her lip. She is absolutely AMAZING, made my daughter’s birthday amazing and her hospitality is amazing. Definitely deserves a raise or promotion at least recognition

Everything was just very high tech and modern looking the thermostat was a lil tricky to adjust some kids were very loud screaming by the pool other than that I loved it the bed was very comfortable

Very nice place and will sure come back here from time to time. A good place to relax and convenient to local attractions. Saw a lot of young families with kids over weekend, adults to relax and unwind while kids can enjoy swimming in a safe environment. I didn’t try the breakfast but it looks very well balanced and offer a variety of food for every taste. Love the room service everyday with clean sheets and towels.

This property is fantastic! It is beautiful and very clean. The staff is very approachable, kind, and accommodating. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I loved my room and the bed was so, so comfortable. I hope I get the opportunity to visit again with my family. I would love for them to experience this. 😊
