Hampton Inn Santa Barbara/Goleta

We didn’t get to experience it. We tried to cancel due to our child’s sporting event being canceled and car troubles. We understand non-refundable but in this case an exception would have been nice. No refund was given. Even partial would have been nice. Tried resolving days before check in. Even tried changing date but no effort given for customer service. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Do better. All rooms should be non-refundable. Stuff happens that’s out of our control.

Beautiful place for family vacations. The pool is really nice!

This property is not worth the amount of money they are charging for rooms. The interior of the building needs a remodel. My room was run down, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, a dingy bath mat (you can’t replace a bath mat?), the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the towels were dingy, not white, looked dirty. The couch was worn out and the carpets also looked dirty. There was only one employee working the kitchen for breakfast and the dining area was very full with people and families and there was not enough food. We had to wait for the employee to refill EVERYTHING and there were so many people that the food kept running out. Not her fault so not blaming the woman working the kitchen. Management should be aware that weekends are busy and everyday is busy during the summer. Assign more employees to work the kitchen! It’s clear this hotel is not run well. Disappointing! Would not recommend and will not stay there again.

It was close to where my family lives.

This is my family's go to hotel whenever we're in Santa Barbara. Enough handicap parking. Elevators. Staff is great. I was greeted every morning. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Nice hot breakfast. Walkable to a few small local restaurants. College is about 5 minute drive. State beach is also five minutes away. We'll be back next year.

The hotel was ok. Staff were struggling with room key machine and couldn't make keys for a while. Stagg were nice but there isnt always someone at the front desk. The room was humid, we discovered it was due to the bathroom fan not working so there was alot of moisture on surfaces and in the air after showers that lasted most of the day. The breakfast was ok and pool was good for the kiddos.

The property and staff could both be improved. the staff could be more friendly and attentive while the hotel can be cleaner. Also a small bar of soap will not be enough for 2 adults, let alone with kids.

The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the sliding door on the bathroom was noisy, so in an attempt to not wake up my family during the night, I didn’t close it. But the motion detector light in the bathroom came on and woke everybody up anyway. I would stay here again though.

Great location for us to visit family in Goleta! Staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and directions. Would stay again for sure!!

This is my family's third time staying here. This is our go to when we are visiting Santa Barbara. Close to the college. Short drive to the Santa Barbara mission. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Some are even walking distance. They also have a great selection for breakfast. Every staff member I encounter was very friendly. They were always cleaning. Great service. Plenty of parking. Will definitely be booking for next year.
