Best Western Coyote Point Inn

I had an early flight in the morning, and I could not get up two hours earlier to drive to SFO. The hotel was easy to access and close to the airport. There was free parking for our vehicle, and the room was large, clean, and comfortable for three of us. Since we saved time by spending the night, the kids could get breakfast in before their long flight. We had room 420 which was close to the elevator, but we didn't notice any noise.

Staff were great! Breakfast was great. My family will be back!

On the morning of our 6th day here, the power went out. While the power was out there was no light on the smoke detector. To us this meant the detector had no backup system. We considered this very serious (illegal?). We have stayed here many times over 20 years as it is near family and have been very pleased. A nonworking smoke detector is very concerning.

Its always an amazing stay for me and the family! Its right next door to my cousins house so it makes it even better. Everything is clean great service!

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast provided a lot of family friendly options, which was a plus. Unfortunately, the key card machine wasn't working, and we had to rely on staff to open our room doors every time we entered the building. The ice machine wasn't working on our floor, so we had to take the elevator to get ice. I saw an earlier review about the ice machine from last month, which indicates to me that the owners of the building need to fix a lot of these issues. It's not right that the staff has to apologize for issues that management and owners should have fixed.

Parking and breakfast were included. My family and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Room was clean enough and staff were good.

My wife and I went there on a weekday. The pros: price was very affordable compared to other hotels on the area. No parking fees!! Other hotels charged 40 dollars! Are you kidding me! Shopping centers minutes away. Very clean and friendly staff. Cons: there was a noice coming from a different room sounded like an electric generator, it wasn't too bad. We still had a good night sleep. Oh, and breakfast was pretty good. I really recommend this place. If you want to save some money this is the place. 4 out of 5 for me.

Had a good time at this property. The breakfast options were standard but pretty good. Rooms were clean and quite spacious. Location is convenient to the airport and other areas to visit in SFO. Our family was happy with the stay here.

I've stayed here several times the past few years while in San Mateo while visiting my family, and it is a good value. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Also spacious with a nice couch. The breakfast is very good, with lots of hot food options. It's not the Ritz, but for the price, it's hard to beat.

Arrived with family slightly before 3pm check in. Hotel said the room was ready, but tried to sneak $25 "early fee" onto my charges, forcing us to dink around in the parking lot for about an hour with 2 kids to avoid getting fleeced by that fee that would have increased our total bill by over 15%. They already had the room ready so it wasn't like they had to scramble to accommodate us or anything. Not cool. When we finally got checked in, the first room they put us in smelled strongly of mold and water damage, to the point where anybody in their right mind on staff should have never even remotely considered that room inhabitable, and then made it seem like they were doing us a big favor by giving us an acceptable room when we pointed it out. The eggs at the buffet breakfast were cold at 7am (it's hours are 6-10am) and the other selections were meager and did not have an adequate selection of fresh or healthy food. I was hoping in the time I waited down there someone would have refreshed the cold eggs (or even for someone to mention it to it all), but that didn't happen and I simply did not have the time to wait at that point to get a dealt with. I am very budget-minded when staying at hotels with my family, and I have to say that this hotel could have been a much better experience. At the same price point, I have found that other hotels seem to manage creating a better experience for their guests, even if they do not have the facilities of a Best Western at their disposal.
