Great location that’s only a 10min walk from Chinatown and the Powell/Market St Trolley turnaround stop. Staff is friendly and the hotel lobby has a comfortable sitting area. The complimentary breakfast has declined over the years, now only offering bare minimum items, likely because of national food price hikes. Note the hotel is called vintage for a reason. It’s an old property that many would say needs updating. The elevator is small and slow. We stayed on the 8th floor and one morning I decided to forgo the elevator and take the stairs instead. I got down to the Lobby level before my family riding the elevator, but I do walk fast. Despite showing it’s age, this is still my go to hotel when visiting San Francisco. Have yet to find an alternative hotel offering the same value for money.

We stayed one night (family of 3) and had a nice stay. The room was smallish but the beds are comfortable. Road noise is what you would expect from a 100 year old hotel in downtown, but not too extreme. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options. Overall this was just what we expected, no problems, but nothing shockingly amazing. A good hotel in a convenient part of SF.

This was such an amazing find! Close to Chinatown and really everything there is to see in San Francisco. The breakfast was amazing and I loved that it was included in the stay. The staff were always friendly and helpful with any questions I had. The only thing that I feel needs some work is the Wi-Fi. I was unable to get a steady signal during my stay, however it is something very minimal as I was there primarily to see the city and what it has to offer. I would stay here again and recommend it highly to friends and family.

I really loved my stay here. Very easy to check in and out, they offer a delicious breakfast and the attached bar is very welcoming and elegant. I loved the vibes of the employees. They were very professional and helpful. The room was more than I expected and I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. If you are on edge about booking I hope you see my review and confirm your stay. You won't be disappointed

Loved this hotel!! First time coming to San Francisco and the hotel did not disappoint. Before coming it’s best to do research on parking, I wasn’t aware on how expensive parking is in the city. We did get lucky with a parking garage that would charge 20$ Each over night stay just down the street and honestly I didn’t mind it. The room was perfect for my family, the queen bed was huge, and it had a small fridge and AC. Good price for everything. I have nothing bad to stay.

Although room was tidy, had a very musty smell-had to keep windows open for adequate ventilation. Also, there was not adequate seating in dining area-had to split family up during meals, which was not optimal. Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly and helpful.
