We had been coming in to the Sir Francis Drake for years for New Years with our kids. Being back to the now the Beacon was Great! It was clean, beautiful, better bar and dining. It kept it's same historical vibe and is still the stunning hotel it always was. Only thing is, the rooms are SO MUCH smaller now. It was almost laughable. I know that times are tough, but they were already small rooms, that this makes it a tough choice to come back. But overall, we still do love this place. Just only wish the Starlight Room was open.

My family came to visit me last weekend for my wedding dress appointments. They stayed at the Beacon Grand, which is a beautiful building and decor. What made my experience grand were the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive and friendly. The bar and drinks were fantastic! There was aloe liqueur sampling, and it was delicious. Also, the pianist was a delightful treat. My fiance and I will definitely come back for drinks soon.
