We had good stay and location was quite convenient. Rooms are a bit small for family holiday, more suited for business travellers considering minimal services for guests

Staff was very willing to please. I like visiting family owned properties rather than large corporate ones. Neighborhood felt safe and no homeless / drug addicts were in the area.

We needed to be close to family who live in Chinatown, so the location of the Orchard Garden Hotel was perfect. It was also within walking distance to Union Square, little Italy and a cable car ride! This is the second time I have stayed here and would definitely come back again!

Lovely room, spacious and comfortable. Cleanest bathroom ever! Bed was very good, slept llike a baby. Rooftop area was great at night, and it is within walking distance to restaurants and Chinatown is right around the corner....Will Definitely stay here again...and the people at the front desk are helpful and always friendly.

They didn't seem to have our 2 bed room available (although that's what we booked), but upgraded us nicely to a small junior suite with a foldout bed. The room was fine, but seemed not to have the special touch that we knew this hotel for, having stayed there before many times. Overall, the hotel is good, but showing some signs of age from its renovation some 10 years prior. The neighborhood is quite interesting, not necessarily the cleanest, but has Chinatown just nearby, and a lovely French coffeeshop across the street, and much shopping within walking distance. Still our favorite place to stay in SF, with the best combination of location/cost/comfort we know.
