The Inn at Sunset Cliffs

Really great experience at The Inn @SC.The staff were all A+ and went out of there way to help with any issues I had. Family friendly, a concern at first,were all the kids and pool noise and the thumping above me. Come sunset,it got super quiet the rest of the night! All 4 nights, once sunset hit,it was quiet with just the ocean sounds. Respectful familys are always a plus. Beautiful sunsets and I must say watching them from a private patio was awesome. Only hiccups I encountered was the room wasnt ready until 6 pm,but I hung out on patio and had dinner. The bed wasnt the softest and no chair to sit on in room.

We rented five rooms for our family vacation. We have been coming here for years and love the Inn at Sunset Cliffs!

Great place and the location is awesome!! This is an older place with “older place” issues though. Our room was small and simple. We were on the bottom floor, next to the office. The family above us had a little one with them so as every child does, they ran around and jumped and jumped and jumped. Normally not an issue, however this is an “older place” so we heard and seemed to actually feel all of the jumping. The TV worked fine, the fridge kept our drinks cold, and we stayed comfortable each night. Bed was a bit uncomfortable and probably just needs to be replaced. Showering posed a slight problem only because the drain seemed to be clogged so in order to keep the water from over flowing over the small curb, we had to shower quickly. The outdoor patio area was great. Multiple tables and chairs to sit and relax with the great view and ocean breeze. Still a great stay and we do plan to go back but we’ll probably request an upstairs unit and hopefully the shower will flow better.

For the price of our room our family expected cleaner accommodations (many rusty appliances and moldy caulking). The gate lock also didn’t work so we had some safety concerns.

Our family of 4 stayed here for Spring Break. The staff was incredibly attentive and the room was exactly as pictured on the website and the two bedroom worked great for our family. Beautiful evening sunsets and a laid back atmosphere. Perfect for families.

Check-in was very easy and the desk clerk was really nice. We rented the two bedroom suite which sits on the second floor by the front entrance. If you keep your windows open you do hear traffic, I only kept the windows facing the ocean open and it was fine. We had a nice view of the pool and the ocean. My kids and I thought the beds were SUPER cozy! The sheets were soft and the mattress was awesome. We had plenty of bath towels and pool towels. Our unit was extremely clean! My only complaint was the double shower heads need to be replaced and the loveseat in the living room is looking worn down and tired. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the ocean. It would be nice if the added more cushions to their patio furniture. Only 1 set had them so those were always taken first. Overall this is a really cute, quaint motel. They put care into the landscaping which is probably gorgeous in the summer. We will definitely come back!

Beautiful, oceanside property in small, walkable community. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean and listening to the waves come in. The suite was great for our family of five. It was very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay again!

1. Their check-in time is 3pm, but our room wasn’t ready until 4:45pm. Totally unacceptable. I think this was a matter of poor management. 2. Parking is very limited. 3. Property is old and needs some updating. 4. Suite was very clean and suitable for our family of six.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Property is well maintained with beautiful gardens. Lots of outdoor seating for families. The lower patio was distroyed during a recent storm, but the views from the upper patio are just as amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. Plenty of room for 5 people. We would walk a block up the street to sunnie's ocean beach mexican cuisine. Amazing and affordable. Definatly a popular spot with the locals. We would bring it back to the hotel patio to enjoy our meal by the ocean!

Stay was great all in all. Beds were super comfy. In general room was very clean. It was a Great location, great neighborhood. My family absolutely loved this place. Sofa bed was not comfortable and the bathroom fixtures (wet mold) could be cleaner. Light fixture above sink was filthy. Refrigerator was not clean and there were items in the cabinet left from last family that stayed. Lots of storage space. Wonderful kitchen. Great view! All in all we would definitely go back.
