Hilton Garden Inn San Diego/Del Mar, CA

The staff we encountered was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond. My kids got a thrill out of their delivery robot. Great location and value for a clean comfortable hotel.

Small pool, restaurant/ bar not open all the time, not much to do for kids, shared property with next hotel but still not better. On a good note front desk was awesome but may need to look at the staff in the restaurant. Maybe that’s way it’s not busy as it should be. Thanks for the hospitality.

The hotel look great on paper, but due to a death in the family we were not able to make it out to San Diego. We gave ample notice, about 2 and half weeks. Yet the hotel would not refund our funds due to there bs policy. I bet the room was rented out anyways, so there was no loss on there end, but I got stuck paying over $500. The greed of these hotels is getting out of control. Thank you Hilton for letting me and my family down. I hope the money you kept from me went to a good cause.

This is a very rundown property. We had to change rooms because the door knob and whole apparatus was literally falling off the hinges. It’s really needs to be refurbished. It’s not cheap and my family and I expected more.

I usually don’t review our stays but we were beyond impressed with the staff and their hospitality. Diane at the front desk was really welcoming and helpful. The hotel was also very clean and met all of our needs (we’re a family with a toodler and pre-teen). The hotel is not in the heart of SD but it’s definitely close enough. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was a quick little get away with my mom and baby and the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were also nice and big. Would definitely stay there again!

We came for a family wedding and had an extended stay of 5 days for vacation. The staff was wonderful. Our room’s AC just didn’t work well at all and as a result our room was pretty stuffy all the time. The mattress on our bad needs fo be replaced as it was a bit broken down on one side. Because we had a stay of 5 days, we didn’t get any cleaning of our room ie trash removal so we had to dump our own trash every day. We had to ask for towels twice. The comp breakfast was ok but the powdered eggs were cold and tasteless. There was bread and bagels available but no toaster. I like visiting the Hilton Garden Inn sites when on vacation so I won’t stop visiting but I think the policy of room cleaning needs another look. I understand the policy is probably due to staff shortages but 5 days is a bit too long to not expect fresh towels and trash removal on the daily.
