Inn By The Sea La Jolla

We loved our stay at the Inn by the Sea and will definitely be back. We had a terrace room which included a long hall way, large double sink bathroom, large bedroom space with 2 queen beds, 2 balconies and a large terrace. We had more than enough space for our family. My boys thought it was the coolest room! Although it is dated, it was very comfortable and clean. When we arrived, we were greeted by the best front desk staff. Juan Jose checked us in and he was the greatest. I let him know that I did see some hair in the shower upon check in and he sent in the cleaning staff right away. They cleaned the whole bathroom again just to be sure it was perfect. I have never had a hotel do that for me. This property is walking distance to everything and we loved the amenities of the pool and gym pass. Our view wasn't great but we still enjoyed sitting on the terrace every morning to eat breakfast.

Beautiful, warm pool available year round. The kids loved the tea and Cocoa available in the guest lounge, and we really enjoyed that everything in the village was in walking distance and we didn't have to move the car at all the entire weekend.

I've stayed many times at Inn by the Sea, and have recommended it to family & friends. The location is unbeatable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very friendly & helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

My family needed a room due to an emergency surgery. As this wasn't planning we wanted a clean and safe location. This hotel was that and more. And once the staff heard about the reason for the stay went out of their way to give use ideas on meals after being at the hospital all say. This place was nice and the location really peaceful As for the staff...Exceptional!!

We booked it for the pool for our little one. They closed the pool for half our stay for planned maintenance but did not notify guests until arrival. Understand the maintenance needs to be done but some families book just for the pool. Other then that they had great coupons for nearby dining and a nice guest lounge by the pool. Rooms were well sized and came with a mini fridge

What a quaint little town with great shops, art and nature. It’s not touristy. It’s the type of place you want to live. The hotel was a cool family owned joint with a heated swimming pool. It had everything needed including a heated swimming pool, guest lounge with coffee, and a laundry room. It has to compete with some of SoCal’s best hotels on this trip and it measures up.

We had a wonderful stay at Inn by the Sea in La Jolla Village. Honestly, it looked nice online but it was even nicer than expected upon arrival. Plenty of parking, front and back lot, and garage next to it if needed. Updated and clean lobby and rooms. Nice balcony. Accommodated an early arrival for us. Location was prime. We walked everywhere - tide pools, childrens pool, cave store, and all meals. Very close drive to Birch Aquarium, San Diego Zoo and Torrey Pines. Loved our stay. Thank you.

A bit overpriced, but comparatively cheaper option among the area with ocean view. The staffs are friendly , easy communications with the kids. The locations is a plus, walking distance to la jolla beaches, you can be among the esrliest to secure the parking spot in the la jolla store because it is a short drive

My family and I only stayed one night but it was wonderful. We called the morning of our reservation to see if they could let us in our room early, and to my delight they were able to accommodate us. Our room was on the 4th floor and had a beautiful view of the ocean( as shown in the photo). I found the beds to be very comfortable and soft. Thats saying a lot because I can't remember the last time I found a hotel bed comfortable. My husband likes a firmer bed unfortunately and didnt sleep as well as I did. His tossing and turning did move the bed quite a bit, I felt like I was on a bouncing trampoline at times. Despite that, I still think the bed was great for a hotel! The room was very clean. We did have a little trouble getting the rheater to adequately heat up our room and the unit was a little noisy/squeaky. My kids enjoyed swimming in the heated pool while my husband and I stayed warm and watched them through the large lounge windows that directly faced the pool. The lounge has a coffee/hot chocolate machine. I didn't try the coffee, but the hot chocolates I made for my kids were super watered down. They didnt taste good at all. There was a comfortable sofa and a nice TV as well. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was a quick walk down to Seal Rock. We really enjoyed watching the seals. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family enjoyed the heated pool and location was great. Breakfast is available by nearby restaurant delivery.
