Ayres Hotel San Diego South - Chula Vista

I would of given an Excellent score. Have always thought the hotel was perfect! There were ants in our room on the last night. We were not going to move since we had an infant and that would be cumbersome with all our items. Wanted to be compensated for that inconvenience, very disappointed in the credit we received. It should of been at least 1/2 a day stay.

It was my first time at an Ayres property, and wow! I was thoroughly impressed. Friendly staff, beautiful building, and the basic king room had nothing basic about it. The bathroom had a shower, and a soaking tub. The room had a king bed, and a 3 seater couch, mini fridge, and it was so spacious. Will definitely be staying here again when visiting my family in Chula Vista.

My family and I had a great stay! The only bad thing was the water for the shower takes a really long time to get hot. So if you like hot showers, turn on the water way before you need to get in. Otherwise, it was great. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was great of made or order omelets and waffles with other options as well. Would stay here again if I need to be in this area.

My family and I really enjoyed this hotel. I rarely write reviews, but felt I would because I was impressed. The location is great a lot to walk to and conveniently near highway to get into San Diego. The hotel was clean, all staff were very friendly and genuinely seemed happy at work. We stayed over Easter weekend and they had a daily egg hunt for the kids as well as egg coloring station on Easter morning. The breakfast selection was amazing and everything was delicious, Victoria was kind and helpful. They even had colored waffles and pancakes on easter weekend, fun for the kids! My kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, great outside area to relax. There is a bar in the lobby as well. Rooms were clean, comfortable and the tub was huge! If there was any small con it was the timing of the housekeeping, seems we were missed a couple of the days. But all in all thats a minor concern. We will absolutely return again, highly recommend for families.

My family really enjoy there sray there. The continental breakfast was great every morning. Workout area was also good and convenient. Free parking was ex excellent. And an easy 20 minutes drive from anwhere down down

Great for a family, breakfast was phenomenal

Our family loved our stay here. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, great breakfast. I just wished there was regular cream for my coffee rather than the type of creamer they provided. Thank you for being so nice.

I travel a lot especially for work and mini getaways. This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Beds are a little uncomfortable for me but I was so tired I still slept like a baby. I was a bit worried because as you’re walking through the hallway you can hear everything in other rooms. The room next to me was loud in the hallway, however when I went in my room, I heard NOTHING!! Breakfast was very good. Very close to many stores and the outlets. Plus Alex the bartender was very good too. Definitely will stay here again next time I’m in San Diego.
