Hampton Inn & Suites Modesto-Salida

Hotel staff was very friendly especially the head of house keeping. My kids loved the pool and breakfast was good and well maintained.

This was a great last minute booking due to a family emergency. Staff was friendly, and the property is clean and pet friendly. The breakfast is very good and served for a good length of time. We used the fitness room which was very well equipped. My only complaint is that we did hear a lot traffic from the highway (but it is a trade-off for being so close to it for convenience). There is a train track nearby as well which didn’t bother us. Others might be more sensitive to it. Overall it was a very nice stay.

The pool wasn’t working. The lady at the reception told me while me 3 children were present that the pool needed maintenance because people do all sorts of nasty things in there. I asked if we can get a refund to go to a place that does have a pool since that was the main reason we booked - kids really wanted ti use the pool. She told me I didn’t understood, the pool had just closed that day -“a few hours ago..

Terrible experience checking in. I had to wait 45-50 minutes in the lobby to get a key and finalize my check. Initially, I was told there would be a delay because there was a shortage in housekeeping staff and there weren’t any two queen bed rooms available. While I was waiting in the lobby, 3 families behind us were given their rooms without any issues/delays. I approached the receptionist and was told they had booked another family under my name and we had to wait until that family came down to the receptionist and left the room in order for us to be provided with a room. Over all this experience was disappointing, inconvenient, and misleading from the upon check in. We were told we could not receive any discounts for this inconvenience because our booking was made through a third party. This made our family feel as if our stay/service wasn’t valued because we didn’t coordinate our stay with the hotel directly. Overall, this was a horrible experience for our family and the severity of this incident was disregarded.

My family and I were there for a softball tournament. This was a great location, friendly staff and clean room. Would definitely book here again!
