I was disappointed at check-in, the front desk gentleman told me that the Comfort Inn company was no longer allowing local residents to stay at any property in my local area (Indio,CA). The property was seeing alot of drug issues and for that reason i wasn't going to be allowed to stay. I told him when i made the reservation nothing stopped me from making it. He said he was going to make an exception as he did with the local family that checked in right before myself. He did however say he was going to put in the notes that i was not going to be able to stay there again because of hotel policy. I understand the reasons but i book rooms alot locally and out of town, this is crazy.

Motel quality for the price of a hotel. Swimming pool not available. This is a trucker's motel, not a family place at all.

I must give a huge thumbs up for the young man at the desk. There was a power outage beyond his control ( Mother Nature) dust storm/high winds, all electronic devices were out and he managed to stay calm and very courteous to all , even to those individuals that grumpy!! Just kidding… great service, good breakfast area with a comfortable dining seats
