Sonesta Simply Suites Irvine Spectrum

This is not a family hotel. This is an extended stay type hotel. Dogs barking , babies crying in hallway , limited linens.

This was a safe and convenient place for my family to stay while visiting.

The stay was terrific, as we were close to Kaiser, where a family member is staying. It was a bit dated, but very clean and everything worked. The only downside was the wear on the recliner, which we did not use, and the moisture build up between the window panes, which fogged up the view.

First checked in and checked room and it was misty and looked dirty and smelled really bad. Went back to counter and told the guy at the desk that room was bad and then he offered another room. So I went to check that room and it wasn’t clean and was smelling bad and I went back to counter and staff grabbed a bottle of spray and went to room and sprayed some liquid for the smell. Then he left it was a cold night and turned on the heater and the heater wasn’t working. Went back to talk to staff and he came into the room and tried to turn on the heater but it wasn’t working, so he said just to leave it off and offered me a blanket. Said he couldn’t change my room it was booked. So my family and me had to try to sleep while it was freezing in the room. It was a terrible night and to make things worse there were bugs in the room. I will never stay there again. I want my money back.

Arrived late at night. Toilet would leak every time you would flush it. Reported and was fixed. Did it again the next day. Ants in the sink, crawling on the the wall. They came that same night and sprayed. Next day they cleaned that area. They did offer to move me to another room but I said no. Noise from upstairs room two nights in a row, around midnight. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sorry I had all these problems as place was very close to where my family lives.
