Courtyard by Marriott Temecula Murrieta

I loved this hotel. It was conveniently located to visit our family. I did think they offered a continental breakfast but no. However you could purchase coffee and breakfast at a Starbucks bistro. The pool was lovely. The staff was phenomenal! The first night I was next to a stairwell where a bunch of kids were running up and down so very noisy. When I spoke with the front staff, the quickly moved me to a very quiet upstairs room with a pool view! Amazing for our 6 night stay.

Clean, safe good hotel for family or work trips

The curb appeal was great, the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really appreciated that especially after being on the road. I will say however that the washers need to either be deep cleaned/serviced or replaced. They smelled horrible and my clothes came out not smelling clean and fresh which is a concern because I had to wash my baby’s clothes. Also, their bistro was closed for evening foods I’m guessing do to lack of staffing. We were told that breakfast would be available but when we went to order breakfast they couldn’t provide the choices we asked for….again, due to lack of staffing. So we were not able to have breakfast. My room appeared to be clean upon walking in but there was hair on the bathroom floor and hair in one of the beds on the sheets which just really grossed me out. When I grabbed a hand towel to pick up the hair off the floor it was noticeable that the floor in the bathroom hadn’t been mopped right before our stay. Cleaning is just the most important thing to me with a medically high risk child who has a weakened immune system. I did really appreciate the friendliness of the staff but just wasn’t pleased by the dirty washers and uncleanliness of our room.

The rooms were cozy and very clean. Most of the staff were really nice. We request early check in and late check out few days in advance as marriot bonvoy. We asked to put our traveling groups room near by if possible. Upon arrival, (we arrived later than expected around 4 pm), we were told the rooms are not ready if we wanted to be together. No apology. The answer we got back was as said: “we have a wedding and club teams and no rooms are ready to be given out due to late checkouts.” I asked, “we called in advance few days ago, are you trying to imply that we are not as important as those group reservation?”. This became such a scene and everyone started to stop and look at us. We asked for manager and there was no manger on site and we were given business card to SEND an email. NO one in charge and NO one wanted to care. We kept asking we need to speak to someone in charge and they ended up putting us all on first floor and gave us ADA room and upgraded room for one of the groups. But it was such a frustrating incident with total 6 kids under 5 running around us.

We booked a room with a king sized bed BUT, when we got there they said the king rooms were all sold out. I booked ahead so, I don’t understand why they would sell out! There were kids above us stomping around and we couldn’t sleep.

The hot tub was closed for maintenance and elevator down on lobby floor making it hard with a kid to stay.
