Beautiful, comfortable property with friendly, professional staff. The UCLA area is not only nice but has plenty of cafes and shops, useful when you travel with a family. Location was great as it saved us from the legendary LA traffic, being close to highways to take you to LAX, Universal Studios, Santa Monica. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent staff. Perfect for our family trip to watch a UCLA basketball game as the hotel is right next to the arena.

The property is on campus which is essential to being in LA. Worth the $. Free newspapers - WSJ, LA Times (have to be downstairs early to get them tho); the restaurant and bar are really nice. FYI: You have to pay $31/night for parking. Very convenient if your child is on campus. Would have been nice if they had done something special like a happy hour for parents for Parents Weekend. Not all parents come as a couple and it's hard to feel involved / connected.

Nice front staff but the hotel is far too loud and amenities were lacking. You can literally hear people talking next door and we were awakened by a baby next door crying at 11pm. They brought us ear plugs, which helped. The parking elevator is seemingly always broken because they have pre-made cardboard signs directing folks to the stairs. Why not just fix the elevator once and for all? Walking up with luggage is a pain. Lastly, the area around the hotel is very loud as it’s next to the hospital. Be prepared for helicopter noise.

Not family friendly and way over priced. Rooms are very small. Shower is open and allows water to soak the bathroom floor. No pool. Underground parking spots are extremely small making you unable to open doors without hitting someone’s car.

The Luskin is great if you need to be at UCLA. My only complaint is the service at the hotel restaurant. We have eaten breakfast there twice, and both times we had issues. On our recent visit, we made a 7:45 reservation for the breakfast. When we arrived, we were told we had to sit outside (it was really chilly); there were lots of open tables inside. The hostess was not very polite. She said there were people ahead of us for inside. But we reminded her we had a reservation. She then said we had to wait 5 min. Meanwhile, another family shows up and is seated inside ahead of us (?). Not sure if that's the way it's supposed to work.

The college environment is great for family mini breaks for spring break. It’s half hour driving distance to Universal Studio.
