Great place to stay in LA for business or family stay. Close to several points of interests. Very friendly staff and a beautiful and clean room

Great hotel, amenities, in the heart of Hollywood, shopping right next to it. Very family friendly and accessible to all things.

Great location, steps from shopping and the walk of fame. Small perks we enjoyed- allowing children a free treat daily. Great view, friendly staff but Management are not people friendly and did not respond genuinely to concerns of bed bugs. Despite this, I would recommend but managers need to be more understanding than putting on a fake smile, one did not even do that when asking politely about the bug concern.

I was surprised by the lack of food choices around this property. Yes, I knew the location is a tourist trap but didn’t realize that it would be quite the trek to get to decent restaurants. Yes, I knew about the homeless situation in and around downtown La but didn’t think I would feel that insafe walking to find a place to eat. The property itself is dated. When I used the washroom I didn’t allow my eyes to wander as all I could see was dirty/stains all over the walls, sinks, floor. I suppose the cleaning staff did the best they could but the rooms need updating. The pool area is small and always busy but good enough to entertain the kids. The front staff/concierge could use some training. I had to explain I had the $31 silver member credit. The staff member at first pretended not to know anything about it and proceeded to ask for proof and then told me that their system doesn’t recognize it, but in a way that showed she has heard of it before but didn’t want to deal with it. We had also called in prior to check in to understand the parking situation. We asked where the nearest self park lot was and we’re told it would be 1 mile away. We didnt care how much as long as it wasn’t valet ($60 usd!). We were ill informed, parking was right underground. Not cheap, as expected, but certainly not a mile walk. This hotel makes me think twice about an advertised VIP property, I don’t know what was special about it, if anything.

I stayed for 6 nights with my mother, brother and 4 year old daughter and it’s a fantastic hotel. Very clean, we felt safe and staff were helpful. We used the pool quite a few times, it was excellent, clean, nice towels and sun loungers. Coffee shop in the lobby was great also. Location of the hotel is fantastic for walking to the Walk of fame and sightseeing buses. It’s also not far to universal studios and sunset strip. Perfect location for what we wanted as a family. Highly recommend 👍

Loved the hotel. Mini mall with access to hotels/rooms. Lots of places to eat, close to public transport, metro train, cabs, Lyft, Uber and scooters. You get charged a $100 deposit per day a $28 per day tourist fee. Movies are pricy to order on tv. Refrigerator no no freezer. The tv was old not a plasma. The shower is nice. The ice machine was out. You have to pay for wifi and buffet breakfast everyday. You only get one free movie (on select movies), 1 hour of bowling an 1 free hop on tour. So if you visit with your spouse and or kids only one person gets these free activities. Everyone else has to pay. I will stay here again honestly. Overall I give it a 4 stars. It’s def a 4 star just the things I mentioned were almost a deal breaker only because I am picky lol at least that’s what my husband says. Next time we will bring the kids here they will love it 😊

The discrimination and racism that ensued upon arrival and lack of reconciliation of reservation is beyond. Manager (Mary Ann) should not now nor ever be employed in the customer service industry as she has no true concept of how to treat human beings nor accommodate or reconcile the errors of her staff. Refrain from booking with this hotel if visiting and in need of residing in the Hollywood area of LA. It is incredibly dated, loud, unkempt, low class, resembling that of what I imagine a motel to be more than anything...truly a mess! After flying for 4 hours, we were placed in the incorrect room 3 times, YES, 3 TIMES! so they offered us a 'suite' which equated to a king bed and a pullout couch. Now listen, my 70 year old mother and I were in town for a baby shower in Santa Clarita! My mother nor I deserve to sleep on anything resembling a pullout after flying across the country. Needless to say, I canceled the reservation after Mary Ann informed her staff that 'we will not be helping THEM'; her staff was shocked at her behavior and they tried to find us another room behind her back but Mary Ann stated abrasively that 'we are at capacity and I can't guarantee peace and quiet but I can send security your way' um, excuse me? so I expeditiously booked at The Kimpton Everly in that very moment. Loews still had the nerve to charge me for one night, after only having been in the lobby for 45min. Loews Hollywood is trash and so is their management. Avoid at all costs.

Overall, the property location, rooms and management were excellent. Helpful and quick to address any issues. Also, provided incentives to rectify the challenges. Lower rating due to housekeeping staff, if there was only one issue I could let it go and give them an overall 5 stars. However, the second issue with housekeeping could have had significant consequences for a 6-year old child. The thought of which still gives me considerable anxiety at the thought of. The management and customer service team were attentive and quick to act. They apologized and were extremely professional and courteous. While this may be a one off, two negative experiences over just a few days doesn’t sit well for a first time stay.
