During our stay we arrived a few minutes before our check in which was at 3pm. The lobby was filled with guests and a long line. Once we got to check in they informed us the room wasnt ready due to other guest the night before checking out late. The staff let me know they would call us as soon as it was ready. Unfortunately we ended up having to wait an hour and a half, I received no call to inform us that the room was ready. It was until I called the hotel 4 separate times with no answers then went back to wait in a long line again, I was told the room was ready. The communication on there part was unacceptable, when I asked why wasn’t I notified they told me they did there best to contact all guests. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told there was none on duty. My family and I had an event to attend and because of the staffs total disregard of others time we were late. I paid $300 for that room plus $40 for the parking. When I called today to speak to a supervisor I was told they were unavailable and that all they could do was credit the parking and perhaps a credit for a future stay, In addition the room was small and super outdated. It’s truly unacceptable and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I loved my stay at the USC Hotel. The staff were excellent and big shout out to Edwin for making a diy poncho for me when all the stores were sold out during Tropical Storm Hillary. The lady who checked me in and out was also very great. My room was spacious and very comfortable, the view was very interesting. Also, while there is a fridge in the room, there isn’t a microwave. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently in walking distance of several food establishments ( Wingstop, Dunkin’s, a couple of pizza places, Chik-Fil-a) and a CVS. Although the storm was raging and I didn’t get to walk around as much as I’d have liked to, I enjoyed what I did see nearby. It is right at the USC campus so if you’re visiting your kid at school there, this is a great place to stay. It is also in walking distance of the LA Museum of Natural History, the historic Shrine Auditorium, and the Space Shuttle Endeavor display, as well. The only issues I had were: the coffee pot in my room (522) had a VERY strong mold smell in the water reservoir so I definitely didn’t use it (a coffee station in the lobby would be nice) and, at least throughout my stay, I had trouble getting an Uber to pick up and drop off there, for some reason. I would definitely stay here again, though.

The USC Hotel was clean, quiet, and great staff. The location for USC activities cannot be beat and the LA Times #1 restaurant for 2023 (Holbox, exquisite Mexican served food hall style) is one block away. It’s not the Ritz (which is only two metro stops away if you’d prefer), but my family and I will come back.

It was a great experience from start to finish! The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs and are all very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and came equipped with a mini fridge and keurig. My kids loved having the courtyard area to walk onto and they also enjoyed the two tv’s in the room! We were able to utilize the gym which had everything we needed to get in a good workout. It was also very clean. There’s many restaurants in walking distance which made it very convenient with kids. Overall it was an outstanding visit!
