It’s relieving to see the style, amenities and services have held up to standard following Ace’s ownership; however, the new artwork in the lobby is childish and laughable.

The room was stylish and clean. I loved that the shower and toilet were separate. However the toilet door has no lock and had a gap you could see through. If staying with family or friends it's no big problem but worth mentioning. The shower did not come with a shower curtain, we needed to ask for one. Even with shower curtain the stream was so strong it got the floor all wet. The shower stream was way too strong it almost took out my nipple. Over all good price, would recommend.

The 2queens bedroom had great sunset views with windows all around, & probably the biggest Ace hotel room we’ve ever stayed in; we did not want to leave. Excellent coffee and pastries available in the cafe downstairs. Secured Parking is convenient directly across the hotel if you do not want to valet. Hotel staff was so kind to my 4 year old and that is usually hard to come by when traveling with kids in a big city.

We enjoy staying at Ace Hotel because of the modern design and social aspects. This hotel is an excellent hotel for a couple's trip or a friend's trip but is not family-friendly. Be prepared for late-night partying and lots of noise but it's a convenient location, you can walk around and don't need to drive.

The building itself could be really cool with old historic charm, but instead felt really like a cheap frat house with a bed that is basically right on the floor, some hideous particle board wall coverings, and a weird layout where the headboard is out in the middle of the room where there is barely any room to maneuver around the room. Also no doors between bathroom and the rest of the space so could be very awkward if staying with friends or family
