We took a family vacation from North Carolina to LA for July 4th. The Intercontinental was a perfect location and near so much

Very modern building but I'll say I will not visit that hotel again. First of all, they want to charge you for everything. If you ask the room service to deliver 4 bottles of water, it will cost you $65.00 with deliver fee. The LA downtown also makes my family feel unsafe. There are so many homeless gather around the streets few blocks away. This is not hotel's fault but I will not come back to this hotel again for sure. -Alan

Downtown LA just doesn’t feel as safe as it used to be. Specially if you’re staying in a hotel with small children. Homelessness truly affects tourism in downtown. I probably wouldn’t stay in this hotel if there’s comparable hotels away from downtown.

Nice hotel, not the best for families as you can’t leave a bathroom light on without lighting the whole bedroom due to the frosted glass bathroom wall. Hotel and staff were good although I don’t know why they continue with the small plastic shower and shampoo washes. Firstly it’s not environmentally friendly and secondly you book 4 people and get 1 shower gel, which does a person and a half at most. Downtown LA isn’t the nicest place but was safe to walk to crypto arena which is why we were there. $48usd for a late (1030pm) hamburger was ridiculous though.

This hotel is nice overall. Valet parking made it super easy to get my bags out the car, every staff member was helpful and courteous, and the views from the junior suite room were amazing. With that being said my gf and I left the hotel after only being there for 7 hours and went to Hotel Indigo. We were under the impression the room here had a bathtub we’d be able to relax in, it did not. The shower itself also had very low water pressure and a broken shower head so that aspect was very disappointing, so much so we left around midnight.

September is my favorite month, where every year I celebrate my birthday by staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, and also by honoring my son’s Marine Corps Commissioning Ceremony this year. My profound gratitude to your team, specially Rick at the front desk. He truly stood by your hotel’s mission. Rick not only welcomed us with a very unique, professional and friendly attitude, but assisted us with reservations at Spire 73 and made our stay safe and pleasant. He went above and beyond in providing us with excellent customer service in assisting us, as we had a very late arrival on September 20th, 2023. Rick truly delivered exceptional hospitality to myself and my family members. He helped us in creating unforgettable memories. Thank you for being a part of our family and for encouraging us to continue our tradition for many years to come. You are a beacon of light in our community.

During my two days stay, my cars were locked 4 times and had to approach the reception desk after 10pm twice. My refrigerator was locked twice. Kids moved the drawer candied and they charged $180 for $30 worth of candies. After final clearange at reception upon checkout the parking asked for $63 per night parking. Their statement was " the reception did charge for 1st night parking and this is different facility and requried second day parking payment seperately. The glass lift was closed. We were 2 adults with 2 kids 3 year and 5 year old. Included the breakfast, but the max they cover for breakfast is 2 people. After paying for deposit or other don't expect you will get anything back. It would be double the charged than what you paid during booking.
