Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Horrible service by the staff. Pool was unavailable because of a private party. Only reason I booked this hotel was because it was supposed to be family friendly and I had my 2 year old with me, so I really wanted a pool for her to have some fun before our event at night. Well, their party was adults only and wasn’t informed of this before hand. Also, I asked what could be done and lady at the front desk was rude, sarcastic and plainly incompetent. Manager came out and finally told me I could use their sister property’s, Intercontinental’s pool if I wanted to, something I could’ve used from the beginning being our limited time. At night we had an incident and we needed milk, went to the front desk and ask for service and the front desk guy treated me like an imbecile, he said, it looks like you didn’t read our booklet we gave you when you checked in (tone was obviously the worst possible). He could’ve just told me there was a convenience store two blocks from the hotel, which is all I needed. I told him, you obviously don’t understand that reading or not reading the booklet doesn’t solve my problem, i’m just asking for help. It was by far the worst experience in a hotel of the price and caliber I’ve had in a while. Don’t recommend it.

Location is very convenient and able to walk to many places. Place is family friendly and my daughters really enjoyed the pool and the exercise room. It has a valet parking ( kind of expensive though). But overall it’s a good hotel to stay. Thank you!!

Our family was dining manager came to us that we had to leave because they had a reservation. We stayed 40 minutes in the lobby never once had a reservation they just wanted to close the restaurant.

We’ve never seen anything like this. The entire hotel staff was on strike outside, banging drums and horns any yelling till 10pm, the starting again at 5am. My 9 year old was scared and crying because it was all so stressful. There was broken shards of glass around the pool and no attendant of any kind. None of the restaurants or bars were open and taxi’s wouldn’t even come to pick us up. This was definitely the worst hotel stay my family has ever had. Unreal!

That has been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in LA with my family. Everyone was super friendly and the hotel was clean.
