Liked: nice grounds and facilities. Hiking and convenient to shopping and trails Not like: no microwave in room and restaurant/ lobby bar seemed very understaffed. Hot tub overrun by children

This hotel was suppose to have 5 pools and a children’s pool. It has two pools and one is for cabanas. The tub has huge section where the coating is coming off. Carpet was dirty. Front staff not helpful.

The customer service was the best part about staying at the El. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working in our first room. The front desk sent a tech to try and fix it, but no luck. They graciously offered a new room. They even waived the resort fee. The new room was even better than the first one. The first room was by the Acacia pool felt dated. Plus we couldn’t use the pool with our kids since it was adults only, and we were a far walk from the main pool. But the new room was right by the main pool, had a pool view, and it was more modern. We will definitely stay here again!

Outdoor pool amenities are nice for kids but get very busy over the weekend as neighboring homes and condos can buy a membership. Rooms are well worn and not very clean. We’ve been staying here for over 10 years and have decided not to come back…rooms just have gotten too run down.

Reserved a Mountain View room, had no Mountain View, room looked nothing like the pictures. Got in late at night and there was no parking, had to park in a different lot and lug our suitcases a 15 minute uphill walk with two little kids. Do NOT recommend.

We've stayed in many family hotels. This has been the best so far! The rooms were beautiful, view was stunning and very spacious for all 5 of us.

Great staff. The pool was amazing for the kids. Lots of places to eat near by. Catalina State Park just minutes away.
