Best Western Lake Lucille Inn

Spent most of my time away visiting family. Love the pillows.

This is a beautiful property with the finest cleaning and presentation I have seen from the housekeeping team. The beautiful setting on Lake Lucille and the generous grounds around the hotel made it feel like a resort or lodge and was wonderful! I will return many times and recommend it to family and friends.

The rooms are not very soundproof. We could hear the people in the room above us as they walked back and forth across the room. There was construction going on in the parking lot (Sept 2022), so that was a bit confusing from day-to-day, as to where we could or couldn't drive/access. There was great confusion when we checked in because I had booked through Expedia, but the gal at the front (apparently she was new), tried to charge us all over again. Thankfully I had my Expedia receipt handy to show that I had already paid for the reservation, and they only needed to charge my card for incidentals. At this point (3 days after we checked out), my credit card is still showing a hold for the full amount. I had paid for another family member's room ahead of time, too, and that hold for the full amount is still showing. I'll keep tabs on this to make sure the hotel doesn't bill me for the rooms I already paid for! Otherwise, very comfortable place to stay. Yummy complimentary breakfast options each morning was a great plus!! I'd definitely stay there again.

We had heard great things about this place and were excited to spend our anniversary here. When we got there the room was ice cold, the heat was off. We tried to turn it up and after an hour it still was not warming up so we called and they came up. They fixed the one in the main area but the bedroom one they couldn't fix and they gave us a space heater and some extra blankets. The furniture was very run down and the sofa sank way down when you sat. The freezer didn't work and our ice cream melted. The bed was so hard it was a step above sleeping on cement. We had a very hard time getting to the lake behind the hotel and the deck due to construction blockades. There were only two things good about this trip, our time away from kids and the amazing personnel.
