I don't like when hotel rents a room to a person (local) and they bring the whole family and friends for a birthday party and occupy the whole pool and lobby area. It becomes a common thing for hotels with the pools in Anchorage

Beautiful, modern hotel close to downtown but still very quiet. Our only complaint is it would have been nice to have an adults only (18+) time for the pool/hot tub area. There were always a surplus of kiddos in the pool area (great if you're looking for somewhere family friendly), but we were enjoying a night away without our kids and never dared venture into the hot tub because of the plethora of children. Maybe make 10:00-11:00 pm adult time only for those looking to relax without shrieks and splashing?

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, large groups with children should be kept to a certain floor and away from the other guests, many of whom are seniors and traveling with tours. The other complaint was having to call the front desk 3 times after 2pm to ask for clean towels on the 2nd day of a 3-day stay (once was after we left the room at 4pm when housekeeping was right outside the door). Finally, after 6 pm, a visit to the front desk resulted in housekeeping arriving and providing the requested towels. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and the location was nice and quiet. Especially fun was seeing the moose grazing in the area across the parking lot!
