Talkeetna Inn

We stayed overnight in order to take a flightseeing tour that ended up being cancelled due to weather. It was nice to have a comfortable room for our family of 3 with a king bed and a twin bed.

It’s a great property if you’re staying in Talkeetna. It’s on the river side and from there if the weather is good you will get to see Denali. It’s happening small town. I love the stay with our family.

This place was perfect for our family. It had 3 beds, hot showers, a clean and warm room and the people were friendly and helpful.

Loved the cottage feel. I can sit outside the room on an enclosed porch and enjoy views of the lake while the rest of the family sleeps. The rooms are very clean and shower water pressure is amazing. The beds were older and not as comfortable but that would be the only thing. It appears they are updating maybe a little at a time. The locks on the doors are number coded like a safe which was nice since we have lost the keys to our rooms many times while traveling.

The Inn was clean and just steps away from the downtown. The folks running it were friendly. However our room, #19, was not like the picture. Normally two twin beds would be against a wall with a nightstand in between. In our room, one bed was against the wall, right next to the bathroom door. The other bed was placed lengthwise against a wall, with no support or wall at the top. No nightstand for one bed. Super small room, just two feet or so to spare in the common areas. We saw another room with 2 twins that was arranged normally like the picture. Our room should have been a single. We paid for a Deluxe twin, was told they have only two types, standard and family. Was unable to give us a room that was comfortable for 2 and with the beds arranged in a typical fashion.
