Courtyard by Marriott Anchorage Airport

The room was not clean. The sink and toilet were dirty. The blanket underneath the comforter had what looked like old blood stains on it. Room was quiet and large.They have a GREAT hottub. It was big and clean and soooo hot. I like a very hot hottub but it was almost too hot for me. It would probably be an unsafe temperature for children and elderly.

The guests/kids upstairs were stomping around. Front desk wasn’t very welcoming but no big deal.

So far we’ve only seen two kids. It’s awesome!

This stay was the worst experience I have ever had. Called for an airport shuttle and the driver was extremely rude. Didn’t help with bags at all. We had 3 children with us and he refused to take us without car seats for all of them. We had a booster seat for one of our kids. He told us to have my husband take a taxi with the other 2 kids. I get the car seat requirements but the way he spoke to us was extremely rude. I took the shuttle with my son age 10in a booster (our 10 YO son is past booster requirements but the driver insisted he sit in a booster) when we got to the hotel the guy just went inside leaving me to unload all our luggage with my 10 year old son. My husband called stating that the taxis didn’t have car seats or were already full. I found the driver and asked him to go back with the booster seat to get him and he said no, just told me to tell my husband to wait for another taxi. Upon going to our room it smelled of marijuana. We went back to the front desk and told them we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in that room with our three children. They switched us to a different room which was also very dirty pee on the bathroom floor, hair on the floor etc. The few people I ran into in the halls at 1 am when checking in looked like they were on drugs and I didn’t feel safe walking the halls with my kids. After all of this we left and my son forgot his expensive filter water bottle at the coffee station, we quickly returned to get and it was gone-staff not helpful.

The only negative remark I have is I chose free break and shuttle on the website and got to the hotel and had to pay $32 per customer for breakfast. I travel with a kid. Not paying $64 for two for breakfast.

Weekend Desk crew as not as responsive to my needs as a guest. After calling twice for additional pillows, blankets and towels I was told the other person would bring them after he came “back” from airport. Never did. The usual items that should have been in a marriott room were not there, items such Marriott hotel information, pillows, and blankets, No plastic bag in closet for laundry. No towels in pool area. The phone in the pool area was not working. As a result my kiddos walked through your hotel dripping chlorinated water on your carpet. Usually I am happy staying at your hotel however this time I was not. However, maid was extremely helpful. Gave me additional towels. And the morning desk crew the next day were very helpful. Did bag the item I had left and called me to say it was at the front desk.

Comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pool. Liked being able to get settled before evening events.
