Candlewood Suites Tuscaloosa, an IHG Hotel

Definitely family friendly. Would love to return on another trip

I stayed with 3 other people as the room slept 4 people. I am a student and we only stayed for one night, but the hotel staff greeted us with a smile and were very nice. It was a quick check in process and were able to get an early check in before going to the game. We called ahead and the staff was very polite in making sure the room was double checked and clean before we arrived. The room was very clean and spacious. I would not want to sleep in this particular room with 4 people for a week or more, because its only one room. For a couple of nights it sleeps very well. I would high recommend it to other people. I would not recommend to a big family, but for a couple or a few students This room included a stove and full refrigerator with a sink. The bathroom was also a good size. The hotel is in a central location, and a convenient drive to downtown Tuscaloosa.

The hotel was neat and orderly. I liked the 24 hour store and items for purchase anytime. I also enjoyed the workout facility. The room was similiar to a studio apartment. It was a bit pricey on the weekend due to the UA game. Outside of football season I would recommend this hotel as a moderate and clean alternative. The kitchenette makes this hotel a good pick for a family or for a business person traveling on an extended stay basis.
