The facility is beautiful, the location is great, and the staff... phenomenal! MS. Arnetta is so much fun and exceptionally thorough. She treated us like family, and from what I witnessed of her interactions with other guests, she treats everyone like they were the only guest on property. One fun note...we found out that the Magala is the 5th haunted hotel in the US. No, we did not see anything, but heard a great deal of running outside of room. We do plan on a return visit.

Thought we were booking with a historic renovated hotel based off of some reviews we saw. This was not our experience in the least. Room was filthy. Paint was chipping off of walls, if there was paint, the shower handle was broken and actually fell on our child’s foot leaving a bruise. No plug in the sink or shower/tub which backed up and dead bugs were coming out of the drain. Then we were serenaded at 6:30 in the morning with someone playing the lute in the courtyard. We didn’t pay close to $230 for a motel 6 experience. The supposed 4.8 star experience Travelocity listed is very misleading. Otherwise we would NOT have booked there. We would’ve asked for a different room but didn’t want to be lectured again like we were over the front door handle that required a code and a very specific way of opening.

This hotel is very comfortable and laid back, I feel like family. The building and grounds are well kept and the staff go out of their way to make one feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve extended my stay for an extre 3 days.

The Inn was as charming as a southern Inn could be. From the beautiful courtyard to the old oak trees surrounding the property but the staff (Arnetta and morning staff) went over and beyond to myself and family. They showed compassion during our stay. We pass through Mobile often while heading to Florida and this was our first time staying at this Inn but will stay again on next trip

Loved this place last time we came through Mobile that we had to rebook this Inn. Beautiful historic inn! My wife and kids love this place.

I had to call to get a front desk attendee to come to the desk for check in which was really inconvenient with 2 babies. I guess we got the only room with a 3rd floor room above because we had to check out at 11pm due to a party going on above us and my daughter having a meltdown from being unable to sleep. When we left my husband saw them smoking weed and drinking in the area outside the room so that explained the noise. Not my first stay here and I didn’t have high expectations but this was truly a waste of money and a disappointment of a stay. Go to the Condé or renaissance
