McKays Hotel Bar & Restaurant

What an awesome town and the hotel was great. We stayed in the family cottage and I would have loved to have stayed for a month. Cottage was clean and spacious. The food next door was perfect. Make sure. You get reservations beforehand. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at McKays hotel. We booked a family room for 1 night. Our room was in a section of the hotel that has yet to be remodeled. Walking through the hallway we were pleased with the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility, until we reached the section for our room. The room is dated, and had a musty smell. The bathroom was not very clean, hair in the shower and floor. Using the sink would cause water to back up into the shower. The shower head was broken and would not stay upright. The rest of the hotel appears to have been remodeled and the rooms appeared to be quite nice. The staff were all very kind and polite. Being that we were only staying one night, we did not raise any issues with the room, and left the next morning.
