Fonab Castle Hotel & Spa

We had 1 night in Fonab.It was a birthday present from family.The castle was lovely and surrounding area is beautiful.We had a standard room in the castle which was nice not as big as I expected and a tiny window.Lovely furnishings and spotless.Well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.We had 2 courses for dinner which was good but very small portions.We also had 2 drinks each.It was a very pleasant experience and the staff were excellent but for the cost I feel we could have had 2 nights probably elsewhere.We also had a problem with noise from the dam at 3.30 in the morning which we pointed out when we checked out.They did apologize but said they had no control over the dam.Just think it should be mentioned!All in all it was a lovely experience and we were lucky with the weather too.
