Ashtree House Hotel

We had a wonderful stay! It was brief as we flew out very early but Maureen helped us get set up with a cab for the airport and made us comfortable next to the fire with a beverage before catching some sleep for our flight the next day! The staff was very warm with my children and even gave us a little history on the beautiful building. Thank you Ashtree House!

Wonderful family operated hotel in a 200 year old house decorated in original style of the period. Excellent food and Maureen is a great host. Hope to visit again!

Great place to stay near airport. Comfortable beds and free parking. In the family suite, suggest you add window coverings in bathroom and on skylights for privacy and support sleeping.

The staff treated us like family. The food was excellent. It is just a short train away from Glasgow and Edinburgh. We were able to navigate easily to anywhere we wanted to go. On my next trip to Scotland, I will plan to stay there.

I wish we could have stayed longer. I even offered to leave my family and stay on to help because I didn’t want to leave. (Kind of kidding.) After a whirlwind trip with lots of stops, this was our last place before we departed the UK. We decided last minute to stay at Ashtree in Paisley instead of staying in the city, and it was our best choice of the trip. Our room was beautiful and charming with a big window overlooking the garden. We had tea and coffee and hot chocolate in the room, plus cookies! The bathrooms was luxurious, with great water pressure and a nice and hot shower while looking out to the sky. We enjoyed some beers while we played some games in the parlor before we went to bed and got to meet some other tourists. In the morning, we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast, made to order! Maureen, one of the owners, could not have been more gracious, caring, and kind. We felt so cared for. In a world of automated check-ins, this experience at Ashtree reminded us of why the human touch is so important. It elevates the experience and shows us that when we connect with other people, our journey is that much more meaningful and memorable. I would come back just to stay in this lovely inn.

We arrived around 6 pm after a day of driving and site-seeing in Glasgow. We had a little trouble finding it as the street can is a one-way and can only be accessed from the east (?). When we arrived we were greeted warmly and shown up to our lovely family ensuite. The room was bright, clean and beautiful and the beds were absolutely amazing. I had some minor issues with the TV and the shower, but nothing that prevented me from using either. I came downstairs to the sitting room for better wifi and ended up having a couple of pints and some wonderful conversation with some fellow guests and staff. All that travel tension melted away.
