Crowne Plaza Hotel Glasgow, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was lovely. We had a king suite high flooor with use of the club lounge. David in the club lounge was so wonderful he went out of his way to accommodate our family with food intolerance. What a great addition to your team. Mohammed on reception is made for that role! We often visit Glasgow and will most certainly be back.

We stayed here at a weekend and only found out 2 days before that the leisure facilities would be closed. They arranged for us to use another hotels facilities to save my 5 year olds disappointment so thank you. Kathleen at check in was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a restaurant booking at a convenient time for our family so got room service instead which saved the day. Overall a well run and clean hotel with good car parking. I’d say it was the top end of our budget as family. Family room a generous size.

Guy at checkin desk so pleasant and helpful ,we had a baby with us and kindly gave us late checkout till 2pm.Stay was chilled ,rooms lovely and breakfast first class

We stayed as a family on a Saturday night. When we arrived the queue for check out was very long but there was sufficient staff on at desk to make the wait not too long. The swimming pool was a great advantage which our son loved. We ate at the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious. The waiting staff work very hard and were so kind to our son. The car park is also really handy.

I’ve booked the stay for 4 nights to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The main reason why we booked Crowne Plaza is that it is advertised to have a pool and jacuzzi. Upon our arrival the jacuzzi was out of order and we were also told the jacuzzi will unlikely be fixed before we depart on Saturday. We hoped to use the pool at least. Despite there being a signage indicating the no jumping rules, the pool was full of children who were jumping and diving into the pool. Even worse, the kids were spiting the pool water and wiping their noses in the water, which resulted in pieces of snot floating around the pool. We brought this issue up with the guy at the pool reception. He just said he doesn't know what to do about that. The bathtub in our room was leaking a lot every time we showered. There was water from the bathtub all the way to the sink. There was no way for us to take the water out so we just had to step in water and on wet towels every time we used the bathtub. We had to use only night stand lamp to light the room at night since the other lamps weren’t working. In general the room we had was just a bit too worn out. It just did not resemble a 4star hotel room at all. Also we didn’t had our room serviced when we marked our room for room service. Now I’m dealing with the hotel management via email and I’m met with nothing but unprofessional untimely behavior. Save your money and book one of the many hotels in Glasgow area. You’ll have better time elsewhere.

We were very impressed with the feel of the hotel, the atmosphere was calming where we could escape the rush of the fan local attractions. The location was perfect! For those looking to visit the sec or ovo hydro. The main part of the hotel looked beautiful with Christmas decorations and our family room was spacious and clean.

Lovely hotel but disappointing start with room only being made available at 6pm Drinks vouchers offered but cocktails not available It’s my wife’s preferred drink and we were on a much needed break from the children. We finall get check in to our room and after our evening out we don’t get to sleep till after midnight as we had loud banging coming from the wall. It turns out to be a leak and eventually it’s rectified. It has been a very poor experience overall, bar staff were also extremely slow and rude.

Stayed at this hotel a few times now and would definitely recommend it to friends and family… very convenient for the Hydro.

Great service! Pool for the kids was good. Food at the restaurant on the property was great and manager was wonderful! The room was a little outdated with peeling wallpaper and older furniture but seemed clean.

Too big a q at bar,realised it was really busy but barista and cocktails take ages,could do with a bottle bar to filter customers through quickly first drink qd for 30 mins,2nd qd for 20 mins eating into important family time
