Hotel has seen better days. family room with bunk beds that are directly below the large vent. The vent had huge build up of dust and often you would find it over the white linen. AC locked so cannot freely change climate in the room. Even when off the vent does not stop so my son ended up getting sick from the cold air through the night.

We loved it, our only feedback is that there was no space to change clothes privately. The bathroom is an open space concept, as a family of four this was difficult.

Hotel management have zero empathy. We booked a 2 night trip and were really looking forward to visiting Scotland for the first time. Three days before our trip, unfortunately one of our family members was admitted to the hospital and later transitioned to hospice. We asked for a cancellation and were told no. We asked to move the dates of the trip to another time, we were told no. When we do finally get to Scotland, we won't be staying at this hotel; I cannot believe that hotel management could be this heartless.

No parking near the property, stay only if you plan to use public transit or are okay lugging all of your suitcases from the car park half a mile on foot. Rooms are very chic and modern. No privacy which is fine for a couple but not great with children. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great coffee shop nearby. About half mile walk to all the sites so very good location.

First class family room very well equipped and spacious. Let down by Grandaughter finding, well used, hair brush under sofa bed. Had to wait over an hour after stated time of 3pm to check in, receptionist very pleasant and gave us free drinks vouchers which was very nice, but were however unable to use them. By the time we got everything in to room and unpacked, Grandaughter was asleep. We couldn't use them in morning as check out was 11am and bar didn't open until 1pm. We asked if we could maybe use them towards price of breakfast but this was not possible. Lovely looking hotel most areas and, some, lovely staff. Disappointed in check in time, dirty downstairs toilets and finding used brush in room.

My family and I all stayed at the Yotel while in Edinburgh. We loved how modern and up to date all the facilities were. There was 6 usb outlets, large shower with 2 different shower heads. The bed was fabulous, it raised up and down. The breakfast was affordable and had a lot of American foods. The bar staff, maid service, and restaurant staff were all very friendly. I would stay there again.

Really nice, clean, modern hotel. The staff went above and beyond to help our family out (we came with two toddlers), and the breakfast was outstanding. Would highly recommend staying here.

A good location for exploring, with easy walking to all activities. If you have a rental car parking is hard to find but they provide a large discount to the closest main carpark but its a bit of hike if you have a lot of gear. Room is not the biggest and if you have a family with kids of mixed ages the fact that the room to totally open plan, baring the smoked glass toilet and shower door, can create a few privacy issues ! Shame the chrome.cast wasnt working. Breakfast is invluded and as long as you are not expecting Michelin star its fine ie think powdered eggs. All in all not bad and would be great for a travelling working trip.
