Sandburn Hall Hotel

An absolute perfect place to stay and unwind . Ideally located 10 minutes from York.Friendly and helpful staff where nothing is to much trouble . The breakfast certainly sets you up for a good day sightseeing. Would definitely recommend hotel to family and friends.

Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t fault this hotel. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Had a fantastic night’s sleep. Bathroom was stunning. Little touches like fresh milk and water in the fridge, replenished daily along with the tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits were very welcome. Loved the family story behind the hotel and the special extras like the Yorkshire rose and tiny key (!). Great lighting in the bedroom, loads of plug sockets (all exactly where you need them, which makes a nice change for a hotel!), plus usb plugs. Beautiful location. Really enjoyed sitting in the bar with a cocktail and looking out over the grounds in the early evening setting sun. Only thing that could improve this hotel would be a spa - then we’d be back like a shot!!!

Beautiful & quiet Hotel with modern fixtures and fittings. Wonderful to stay for a family wedding.

Firstly I'd like to say Leonora on reception was fantastic. She was so friendly and informative and put at ease straight away when we checked in and the same excellent service when we checked out and made the process very smooth. We stayed in the premier rooms and everything was perfect! The bed was so comfy, a varied selection of teas and coffees and hot chocolate. The shower was amazing and the bath was huge (you could fit two people if you're not selfish like me). It was so quiet and the curtains block out the light really well which helped us sleep soundly. Our room was very clean not a speck of dust in sight. Breakfast was also delicious again with lots of choice for fussy eaters or kids. We can't wait to come back. Thank you for such an amazing stay
