The Abbey Lodge Hotel

A little family trip close to the canal and Salts mill and further a field into the Yorks moors. Perfectly fitting our needs, hotel was well staffed, breakfast was excellent and rooms were clean and well maintained

Lovely hotel, staff and food. We had a family room and it was so nice for our daughter to have a proper bed, not a sofa bed like you get in many hotels.

Stayed here once weekly for 12 weeks while setting up a new service. This is a lovely, family run hotel. The staff are friendly and really look after you. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfy beds, fabulous cooked breakfast and you can control the temperature of your room yourself. Thank-you to the team at Abbey Lodge!

Our stay was pleasant and suited our purposes perfectly. We were visiting family in the area and had our large greyhound with us. We would have liked to have had breakfast together with the dog; however, this wasn't permitted so we dined separately. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The breakfast was great.

Enjoyed our stay at Abbey Lodge, warm welcome on arrival, informative about the surrounding area and hotel amenities, booked a taxi for us for our evening destination, very pleasant receptionist. Evening receptionist equally pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean, spacious and tidy, beds comfy, bathroom well equipped with towels also clean and spacious. We were allocated adjacent rooms which was thoughtful. Breakfast was first class, good selection of cereals, preserves, juice, a menu to select your hot breakfast was great, plenty of toast. Brought table and served by happy confident staff. My crew would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Well done and Thankyou all at Abbey Lodge Hotel 👍

A decent two night stay while in the local area with family. Had a twin room which was basic but ok. Bathroom needed a really good clean to sort out the gathered dust on top of the toilet cistern and the random lightbulb left on the sink was unusual! Room was functional although twin bed for an adult was very small. Parking behind the hotel was really tight to get in and out of. Breakfast was good with speedy service and staff members really welcoming. Would return in the future.
