Wonderful stay, second time visiting. Staff are all very friendly and great with kids. Grounds are beautiful and the peacocks are a magical addition. Nice pool, sauna and steam room too.

We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We were also pleasantly surprised to hear that the children could eat breakfast for free this month. The pool area was clean and the games rooms and gym were great (although whilst on the treadmill, the motion lights went off leaving me in the dark). It’s a shame that the breakfast is £22 per adult. This is quite high in price so we chose not to eat at the hotel. The room was mostly clean although a funny noise on arrival was discovered by us - a child’s walkie talkie had been left on and under the bed by the previous guests! Also, the sink drained rather slowly and the toilet seat was coming off slightly. Other than this we had a great stay and all the staff were very helpful.

Accommodating, clean and comfortable. Lovely swimming pool and surrounding. The peacock chicks were a winner with our children!

Service and attentiveness was generally pretty good, considering the amount spent for a two night stay it should have been exceptional, communication with the hotel was poor and our request to check in earlier was ignored, requesting it at the hotel again on arrival was met with a negative reaction and we had made it clear we had another function to attend to hence the slightly earlier check in. Asking for a second time they graciously allowed 20 minutes early. We attended the nye celebrations and it left me wanting but we did enjoy ourselves, except for the unhelpful waiter who needed encouragement to charge my glass, and only the once. My gripe is the breakfast cost, it sums up to extortion! £ 60 for a family of four and all they had was a bowl of cereal. We thought it was included in our rate but sadly not. The second day breakfast was room service, unpleasant to eat bread without butter or jam and no effort left to ask again (they had forgotten about our room service request the night before) would have ignored but it appeared on my bill at £65 including service charge. The bar staff were all very nice and welcoming.

The room was lovely but had a connecting door. The other room had been allocated to an old couple who were deaf, they had the telly so loud that my children were unable to sleep. The room should not have been in use, the telly and people were so loud it felt like they were in our room. It ruined our stay and the kids were exhausted for their trip to Harry Potter the next day which was the reason for our stay.

If you like the look and feel of a Manor, then this place is ideal for you. It has an imposing facade and large grounds and it retains a lot of original features right down to the plumbing (in some parts). If you're like me and you like the look of a Manor but with it all the modern day comforts such as flat-screen tv, up-to-date decor, state of the art spa facilities then perhaps Pendley Manor is not suitable for you. I enjoyed my stay there with my family, but don't think i'll be booking again in the future.

We use Pendley Manor to decompress from transatlantic flights. It is a fairly quick and easy drive from Heathrow and there is always a pleasant welcome at the hotel. There are extensive grounds and a s swimming pool that allow the children to use up their energy. A great first night for all with super food for dinner and breakfast.
