It was adequate for our one night stay in Staines to accommodate our family and be near The Swan where we were meeting up with old friends. Breakfast was also decent. However, I’m not sure I’d choose this property again. The updates to bathrooms were nice though I think for us it’s the musty and damp smells combined with being dated that put us off.

Lovely little hotel. Wasn’t expecting a lot but pleasantly surprised. We were 4 people, 2 2 adults and 2 kids. Room was well made and spacious. Beds were comfortable with all the basic necessities. Breakfast was lovely too. Good parking. Saffron restaurant downstairs had some great food too. All in all, a lovely experience

Lovely spacious room. Large comfortable bed. Bath with shower plus a separate shower which was lovely. Quiet spot very close to the river. Breakfast could have been a little hotter but still very nice, good selection. Overall I would recommend this hotel. I stayed with my two children aged 8 & 5.

Checked in on a Friday, the 1st room we went to on 3rd floor smelt of smoke? So immediately shut the door again. 2nd was on ground floor facing the ample gated car-park, nice room, great shower. All good. Sadly on our return around 11.45pm after seeing relatives, we got in our nice bed, very tired after a super early start & long day, we battled with the pillows which were not at all pliable & akin to using the kerb to rest your head. Managed to sleep within maybe an hour only to both shoot up out of bed with such a start at 02.45am, some guy 2 doors down hammering on his door repeatedly, obviously locked out. Shaking & disorientated hubby opened the door & said do u know what time it is? Surely he could have gone to reception NOT BANG on the door in a quiet hotel? In Fact WHERE was the night receptionist NOT to hear this just yards from the lobby? Long time to go back to sleep with more pillow wrestling, we were not amused! We both suffered (& am STILL suffering 5 days on) with a painful neck, shoulder & collar bone. We were staying the Saturday night too, we borrowed 2 softer pillows from family, alas though the noisy late guests who slam doors & talk thru megaphones made for a disturbed night of 5 hours rest. Sad that guests get away with bad manners as it is an attractive hotel, nicely decorated, pleasant atmosphere and breakfast was very good in a lovely dining room. Big car park with gates that get locked about 1am. Good price too. We were just unlucky with noisy folk.
