The Royal Toby Hotel

Fantastic hotel and not too expensive. Visited family. In my opinion this is the best hotel in the area. 2 very good restaurants to choose from. Cozy pub at the hotel. All staff extremely helpful and friendly. Bus stops right outside hotel going directly to Manchester city centre. Rooms spotless and cleaned every day. Complimentary water every day. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely choose this hotel next visit.

Hotel was great, stayed in 212 was nice and had good shower. Only complainant would be bed was a bit small as had single and a standard double and mattress was a bit hard. Cracking bar to sit and have drinks and enjoy the fire. Breakfast was great in morning, plenty of options. Good value would definitely stay again when up visiting family

We stayed in rooms which were not the upgraded ones (so the manager said when we checked in), tired looking, smelling of mould, broken toilet set, stiff handle to work the shower, shower head detached and poking out of the wall, tiny bath towels (and we are not the same of elephants) but they were no bigger than the hand towels. A heating system which was impossible to understand, so we had to put up with the room being stone cold. And to cap it all a host of inconsiderate guests from the wedding that was happening on site who thundered up and down the corridors with their children, running shouting and screaming and knocking on each others doors all night. Food was good, staff were great. Rooms = grim
