The only review you deserve is that you are an absolute disgrace . We booked 4 rooms in April as a family for my daughter's graduation in July and after 1 month I got diagnosed with cancer. My daughter was in touch with the Vermont hotel to ask if we could get the date changed as she can push her graduation back to December and hopefully I'll be well enough by then once I get treatment. The Vermont hotel agreed to move the date of our bookings under the circumstances but said we needed to contact Hotels.com as this is who we booked it through. My daughter contacted Hotels.com several times, spending hours on the phone to very little success. They needed to confirm with the Vermont Hotel and there was just this back and forth or very poor communication between Hotels.com and the Vermouth Hotel. They didn't get to change our booking on time, despite agreeing to do it on several occasions. Making false promises is a very bad reflection on the Vermont hotel. It's not about the money at the end of the day, it's just hard to understand how ye could be so heartless with all we are going through. The poor communication between Hotels.com and the Vermont Hotel has lost us our rooms and any future custom from us. It has just added to the awful stress our family is already under.

Was red hot in the room and the family couldn’t sleep. There was a radiator on and we had the window open all night and a fan on. It was noisy due to this so we got very little sleep. Would not book again.

Enjoyed staying in this traditional English hotel, right next to a very historic site - the Keep in Newcastle! Invited in family to enjoy the afternoon Tea which was fun. Appreciated the quietness, the friendly staff and the good food.

Stayed here one night to celebrate my 40th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maybe because it was our first childfree night in a while our maybe because the hotel and staff were so lovely but either way. We had a great time
