Great North Hotel

Easy to get to from the A1. Staff were exceptional very helpful and happy. Not sure I would call the junior suite a junior suite. Very pleasant but just a large room. Good car park and quiet pleasant hotel even though it's next to a big road. Ten out of Ten.

This is my new favourite place to stay on my trips to visit family. Its not always easy on solo visits, however I felt totally welcomed and valued as a real person, rather than 'just another guest'. The staff are lovely and went above and beyond to make my visit comfortable. I can't wait to visit again! Thank you

Had a lovely stay at the great north hotel whilst visiting family in Newcastle. Check in was quick and friendly. I did get allocated an accessible room which I’m never too comfortable with, I understand these rooms need to be accommodated but as someone without disabilities I just prefer the cosier setting. The staff on the reception were very helpful and were able to swap me to a standard room without any fuss, I really appreciated this! The room was very comfortable and all the facilities were very clean and felt new which is always nice. I had everything I could possible want and having the 3 mile just downstairs was perfect as it’s a lovely pub and the food is great! Will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

Nice hotel just outside Gosforth, so you'll need to travel for Newcastle's city attractions. No other local options for food or drink, but there is an excellent bus service directly outside the hotel. It's a 10 minute bus ride to Gosforth and half an hour to Newcastle City centre. Buses are regular and there's a late night service too. The hotel is a good base for a short break or for catching up with family. Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going back when we visit the city again!

We stay here quite often to visit family and will always continue to stay as the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The deluxe room is spacious and very clean.
